Kausika, in the southwestern direction, in a world with beings as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish them in the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, and the five superknowledges, Kausika, what do you think? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly because of that? He replied: Blessed One, it would increase greatly. Sugata, it would increase greatly. The Blessed One said: Kausika, more than that, if a son or daughter of good family were to give this Prajnaparamita scripture to others for the purpose of reading, writing, and reciting, the merit would increase even more. Why is that? Kausika, it is because this Prajnaparamita extensively explains the undefiled dharmas, and by teaching them, sons or daughters of good family can enter correctly without error. They enter, they will enter. They will obtain the fruit of stream-entry.
