One should not abide in the perfection of wisdom with a clinging attitude. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra thought to himself: How should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abide in the perfection of wisdom? Then, the venerable Subhuti, knowing with his mind the thought in the mind of the venerable Sharadvatiputra, said to the venerable Sharadvatiputra: Sharadvatiputra, what do you think? Where does the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One abide? The venerable Subhuti said: The Tathagata does not abide anywhere. Venerable Subhuti, the mind of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One does not abide anywhere; it does not abide in form, it does not abide in feeling, it does not abide in perception, it does not abide in formation, it does not abide in consciousness.
