The Blessed One was entreated, and the Blessed One (said): Wherever there are no monks, those places should be taken by the nuns, do not doubt this. The story is in Shravasti. In Shravasti, many nuns were playing in the fields, and one of the nuns became ill. She walked slowly, coming from behind, so she got lost and went to another rocky village, where she died in a layman's house. They left her in the cemetery, hid her bowl and robes, and left. Later, many nuns were playing in the fields and went to that rocky village, and the householder saw them and (said): Venerables, a nun has died in my house, this is her bowl and robes, please take them. They said: Householder, the Blessed One does not allow it, these belong to the nuns. This is what happened, the monks entreated the Blessed One, and the Blessed One (said): Wherever there are no nuns, those places should be taken by the monks, do not doubt this. The story is in Shravasti. The venerable Upali asked the Buddha, the Blessed One: Venerable, a monk has died, and his bowl and robes are with a layman, who does it belong to? The Blessed One (said): Whoever comes first, it belongs to them. If there are two, who does it belong to? Whoever asks first, it belongs to them. If both ask, who does it belong to? Whoever gets it first, it belongs to them. If both get it, then both have a share. If both get it, whoever the householder trusts and gives it to, it belongs to them. The story is in Shravasti. At that time, in Jeta Grove, two monks were fighting, and the other monks were watching. The Brahmins and householders saw it and (said): Venerables, we see the householders fighting, we also have to stop them, why don't you stop them but watch? There, others said: If they are fighting themselves, why stop them?

After that, those people sat in silence without answering. After that happened, the monks requested the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said to them, "Those who are not sitting around, restrain them." Although they restrained them, they could not release them. After that happened, the monks requested the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said, "If you cannot release them even with restraint, then perform the act of expulsion." After the Blessed One said to perform the act of expulsion, at some later time, two monks were having a definite conversation. The two of them said, "This is what should be obtained, this is what should be obtained." While speaking definite words, they spoke harshly to each other. After the two of them were also subjected to the act of expulsion by the monks, the two of them said, "Venerable ones, we were only speaking definite words and spoke harshly to each other. Why did you cut us off with the act of expulsion?" They said, "Venerable ones, the Blessed One said to perform the act of expulsion on those who quarrel, so we performed the act of expulsion on you two." They sat in silence. After that happened, the monks requested the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said, "Do not perform the act of expulsion on those two, restrain them. If they live in the same place, then his preceptor and teacher should close the door. If he is an elder, then he should gather all the Sangha and pacify the dispute. If that does not pacify it, then wait and perform the act of expulsion on those two." The beginning is when it was in Shravasti. The venerable Upali asked the Buddha, the Blessed One, "Venerable, if a monk dies within the boundary, who will have the right to the deceased's belongings?" Upali said, "That is when the head is thrown to one side." "Venerable, if both heads are thrown to one side, who will have the right?" Upali said, "That is both." This is the second door of the beginning, which is the first verse. In short, what should be proclaimed and vehicles, and then garlands and clothes, and the Sangha's clothes are also like that, doubt arises separately for each person.
