If one engages in transactions with various kinds of wealth along with danger, what happens? An offense is committed. Venerable one, is there a case where a Bhikshu engages in transactions with various kinds of wealth but it does not become something to be forfeited? Upali: There is. If one exchanges similar things for similar things, there is no offense. Venerable one, if a Bhikshuni engages in transactions with various kinds of wealth, what happens? It becomes something to be forfeited. The Shramanerika, Shramanera, and Shikshamana all commit an offense. In this training rule, buying and selling should also be explained in detail. In summary: concerning that very thing, lost items, other non-Buddhists, unburnt items, white items, the insane, names and messages, existing things, livelihood, and Bhikshunis. The venerable Upali asked the Blessed One: If one holds that very alms bowl, does one commit an offense? Is there a case where holding that very thing does not result in an offense? Upali: There is. For example, if a Bhikshu holds a large alms bowl, and then changes gender and becomes a Bhikshuni, and then holds it, an offense is committed. Venerable one, if a Bhikshu's alms bowl that is to be forfeited is lost, does one need to confess the offense? Upali: One needs to confess. After confessing, if one obtains it again, does one need to forfeit it? Upali: No. Venerable one, the Blessed One said: A Bhikshu should not hold an extra alms bowl for more than ten days. Venerable one, is there a case where a Bhikshu holds an extra alms bowl for more than ten days and does not commit an offense? Upali: There is. For example, if a Bhikshu sends an alms bowl to another Bhikshu in another place, and that Bhikshu holds that alms bowl for a very long time, there is no offense. Venerable one, if a Bhikshu lets a non-Buddhist hold an alms bowl, what happens? An offense is committed. Venerable one, if a Bhikshu holds an unburnt alms bowl, or a small alms bowl, or a large alms bowl, what happens? An offense is committed. Venerable one, if a Bhikshu holds a white alms bowl, what happens? An offense is committed. If a Bhikshu becomes insane immediately after obtaining an alms bowl, from when should one count the ten days? From the time when he regains his mind. Venerable one, a Bhikshu exceeds ten days

Monk, if a monk seeks a second bowl through a message and obtains the bowl, what will happen? It will be a misdeed. Just like sending a message, letters, gestures, others saying, passing from one to another, all will become misdeeds. Monk, if a monk seeks a second bowl from a madman, what will happen? If they obtain the bowl, it will be a misdeed.
