I, etc. Those who are intolerable, let them speak. The Sangha, having tolerated and granted, has appointed the monk named so-and-so as a forest ranger. This one named so-and-so is the Sangha's forest ranger, and since he does not speak like this, he holds it as it is. I shall establish the practices of the forest-dwelling monk, and the forest-dwelling monk shall wander in the forest from half a yojana onwards. The Blessed One has said that the forest-dwelling monk should wander in the forest from half a yojana onwards. Having said this, he became tired from the road and afraid of being alone. The Blessed One said, "If he wishes, a boy should be given and a friend should also be given. If the forest is indeed frightening, then he should burn a smoke signal. A blue banner should be raised. Leafy wine bags should be placed on the road. If the forest is not frightening, then a white banner should be raised. If a forest-dwelling monk does not properly take up and practice the practices that have been established, he will commit a serious offense. Monks, why do the monks, before wandering in the forest, take food and eat it outside the monastery, and scold, make gestures, and speak harshly? At that time, the monks told the Blessed One. Then the Blessed One, with this event, this basis of discussion, and this occasion, gathered the Sangha of monks, etc., as before. The Buddha, the Blessed One, knowingly plowed, etc., as before. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked the Six Groups: "Monks, is it true that you take food and eat it outside the monastery before wandering in the forest?" "Venerable One, it is true." The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked, saying, "This is not the practice of a renunciate, it is not in accordance, it is not proper, it is not in accordance with the rules. It is not to be done by one who has gone forth." Then the Blessed One rebuked the monks in many ways,
