The rice, along with the straw, husks, and grains, were all intertwined, and after being harvested, they would not grow again. It was also evident after harvesting, residing in both the whole and the non-whole of the rice. We gathered together to set boundaries, saying, "This is yours, and this is mine," establishing it definitively. They gathered together to set boundaries, saying, "This is yours, and this is mine," establishing it definitively. Monks, this is the first beginning of the appearance of limited fields in the world, and it is due to Dharma, not due to non-Dharma. And the Dharma is: the supreme Dharma of the victorious and powerful ones. Then, a certain sentient being, despite having their own rice, took rice that was not given by others. Another sentient being saw that sentient being, despite having their own rice, taking rice that was not given by others. Having seen this, they said to that sentient being, "Hey, sentient being, why do you take rice that is not given by others, even though you have your own rice? Hey, sentient being, go away and don't do that again." That sentient being, two or three times, despite having their own rice, took rice that was not given by others. The other sentient being also, two or three times, saw that sentient being, despite having their own rice, taking rice that was not given by others. Having seen this, they again said to that sentient being, "Hey, sentient being, why do you take rice that is not given by others, even though you have your own rice?" This sentient being then dragged that sentient being, leading them, and in the crowd, knowledgeable people also said, "This sentient being, despite having their own rice, takes rice that is not given by others," even to the point of scolding them. Then, those sentient beings said to those sentient beings, "Hey, sentient being, why do you take rice that is not given by others, even though you have your own rice? Hey, sentient being, go away and don't do that again." Then, the sentient being who took the rice without being given said to those sentient beings, "Knowledgeable people, this sentient being, for the sake of rice,"

Having spoken, they entice, guide, and even revile within the assembly. Then those beings, for the sake of the being Salu, said this to the speaker: "Hey, being, why do you speak to beings and entice them for the sake of Salu? You guide and even revile within the assembly? Hey, being, go away and don't do that again." Then those beings thought: "The wise ones entice for the sake of Salu, guiding from there, even reviling within the assembly. With pure vision, we gather together, and from among us, whichever being is most beautiful, most pleasing to behold, most elegant, and has the largest body, we will appoint them as the lord of the fields. Whoever among us has shortcomings will be punished accordingly, and those who should be helped will also be helped. Whatever comes from our fields, we should also offer a portion that is in accordance with the Dharma." Thinking this, those beings gathered together, and from among them, whichever being was most beautiful, most pleasing to behold, most elegant, and had the largest body, they appointed them as the lord of the fields, and said this: "Hey, being, come here. You should punish whoever among us has shortcomings! And help those who should be helped! Whatever comes from our fields, we should also offer you a portion that is in accordance with the Dharma." Having said this, in this way, being honored by many people, and because they were honored by many people, they became known as "honored by many, honored by many." Because they are the lord of the fields and protect from slander, they became known as "royal lineage, royal lineage." Because they constantly practice the conduct of morality and constantly practice the conduct of wisdom, making the beings of the Dharma rejoice, they became known as "king, king." Monks, this is the first beginning of the emergence of the royal lineage in the world, and that is because of the Dharma, not because of non-Dharma. That Dharma is: it is the supreme Dharma of the victorious lords. Monks, the Brahmins'
