If a bhikshu conceals a sanghavasesa offense he has committed, the sangha deems it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on him and grants him removal. While he is undergoing removal, he conceals another sanghavasesa offense, this intermediate offense being the same as the previous one. He knows this intermediate offense, and also knows which offense of his the sangha deems it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on and grants removal for. Then, he says to the bhikshus: "Venerable ones, I committed a sanghavasesa offense and concealed it, and the sangha deemed it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on me and granted removal. While I was undergoing removal, I concealed another sanghavasesa offense, this intermediate offense being the same as the previous one. I know this intermediate offense, and also know which offense of mine the sangha deemed it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on and granted removal for. Venerable ones, please allow me to undergo removal for the previous offense, and to undergo removal from the root for this intermediate offense, because it is not appropriate to impose an unlawful karma." Those bhikshus grant removal for the bhikshu's previous offense, because it is not appropriate to impose an unlawful karma. For the bhikshu's intermediate offense, the sangha deems it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma, therefore granting removal from the root. While he is undergoing removal from the root, he repeats the same sanghavasesa offense as the intermediate offense and conceals it, and he also knows this repeated offense. He also knows which intermediate offense of his the sangha deems it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on and grants removal from the root for. Then, he says to the bhikshus: "Venerable ones, I committed an intermediate sanghavasesa offense the same as the previous offense and concealed it, and the sangha deemed it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on me, therefore granting removal from the root. While I was undergoing removal from the root, I repeated the same sanghavasesa offense as the intermediate offense and concealed it, and I also know this repeated offense. I also know which intermediate offense of mine the sangha deems it appropriate to impose an unlawful karma on and grants removal from the root for. Venerable ones, I undergo removal from the root for the previous intermediate offense.

Removal, and again, for the offense of repeated transgression, it is not appropriate to establish the karma of not disturbing the Dharma by raising it from the root, please grant it well. For that offense of repeated transgression, it is appropriate to establish the karma of non-Dharma disturbance, therefore they give raising from the root. Again, another person, having committed a Sanghavasesa offense and not concealed it, the Sangha should establish the karma of non-Dharma disturbance, therefore they give the practice of delight for six nights, and while he is doing the practice of delight, he commits another Sanghavasesa offense, the intermediate offense is the same as the previous offense, and he does not conceal it, and he also knows that intermediate offense.
