Gold and silver, as well as other forged and un-forged items, should be divided into three parts. One part belongs to the Buddha. The second part belongs to the Dharma. The third part belongs to the Sangha. What belongs to the Buddha should be used to repair the cracks and damages in the incense chamber, the hair and nail stupa. Whatever belongs to the Dharma should be used to write the Buddha's teachings. Adorn the lion throne. Whatever belongs to the Sangha should be divided among the monks. The origin of the story is in Shravasti. At that time, King Prasenajit of Kosala established the Water Cleansing Festival. At that time, many monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen gathered. At that time, the nun who was respected among the nuns was named Bloodline Foremost. Because there were so many nuns who established the Water Cleansing Festival, they said to the nun Bloodline Foremost: "Venerable, please go to the Water Cleansing Festival." She said: "To whom should I entrust my Dharma robes and bowl?" The twelve groups of nuns said: "Venerable, please be at ease, we will keep them." She entrusted her Dharma robes and bowl to them, and they handed them over to Mahaprajapati Gautami. Mahaprajapati Gautami handed them over to the venerable Ananda. The venerable Ananda placed them in a temple. After that, the venerable Bloodline Foremost came to the Water Cleansing Festival, and there, she...

The nuns invited him as a guest, and one of them said, "Venerable one, today I will offer almsfood." Others also invited him to have gruel. Some others said, "Venerable one, please enjoy my umbrella." Likewise, others also said so. Another one said, "Venerable one, please enjoy my non-time drink." Likewise, others also said, and in order to protect their minds, he took a little bit from the gruels, and likewise ate the warm food as well. He also drank the offered non-time drink, and then he felt bloated. Moreover, he was tired from the road, and because he ate a lot, he became indigestion, had diarrhea and died. The monks cremated him in the cemetery, held a Dharma assembly, and then gradually arrived at the monastery. The bed-maker said to the sick attendant, "Bring his alms bowl and Dharma robes." He said, "He handed them over to the hands of the twelve groups." When asked about them, they said, "We handed them over to the hands of the Great Mother of Beings." Then, the Great Mother of Beings said, "I handed them over to the Venerable Ananda." The venerable Ananda said, "I placed them in such and such monastery." At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One instructed, "The monk Ananda should be blessed in order to repay the debt of the deceased's belongings." The blessing should also be done in this way: strike the ghanta, so that all the Sangha gather and become harmonious, and then one monk should request. It should be done in this way: prepare the seats, strike the ghanta, and distribute it properly to the monks with the words of questioning. After all the Sangha have gathered and become harmonious, one monk should request and then act. Venerable Sangha, please listen: If the monk Khrums-stod dies here, his alms bowl and Dharma robes, clothes and the price of clothes, etc., are in the hands of Ananda, if the time of the Sangha has come and it is tolerable, please let the Sangha allow, so that the Sangha will take the alms bowl and Dharma
