I possess the seven precious things, namely the precious wheel, the precious elephant, the precious horse, the precious jewel, the precious queen, the precious householder, and the seventh, the precious minister. I have thousands of brave and valiant sons, who possess the most excellent limbs and can completely destroy the enemy forces. Alas, may a rain of jewels fall within my palace, and may no Kārṣāpaṇa (ancient Indian currency unit) fall outside! As soon as King I-Force generated this thought, a rain of jewels fell in the palace for seven days, but no Kārṣāpaṇa fell outside. Just as great power, great magical abilities, and virtuous deeds cause one to experience the fruits of one's own merits individually. The king said: By whose merit did these things come about? They said: By the merit of the divine one! The king said: Wise ones, you are mistaken! If you had said it was by the merit of the divine one, I would have caused a rain of jewels to fall throughout Jambudvipa. However, whoever among you desires jewels, take whatever jewels you desire!
