Tri Songdetsen was born (742-797 AD). He built five temples including Chimphu Namra. He translated five sutras. The Han Chinese princess took the Jowo (Buddha statue) out of the dark room and started offering it. The northern part of China and part of the area belonged to Tibet for thirty years. He passed away at the age of sixty-three. Tri Song was five years old when his father passed away, and he took over the government at the age of eight. When he was young, Ma Zhang Tronpa Kye and Lu Gong and others wanted to send the Jowo to Han China, but even a thousand people could not lift it, and it was eventually buried. Those who wanted to send the Jowo away, some went mad, and some died with their backs split open. The Jowo was sent to India, blocked in Mangyul Kharag for fourteen years, and the Unmoving Vajra was sent to Han China, staying in Obgyal Tang for seven days. After that, the king killed Ma Zhang and invited the Jowo. He abolished the Bon religion and invited one hundred and eight scholars including Orgyen Rinpoche and Bodhi. He built one hundred and eight temples. Three hundred children became monks and studied translation. The army conquered Dakshing Kunjukhar, the area of Menze, and the Hor region. The king practiced Hayagriva and made three horse sounds, which were heard in half of the world, and it is said that he ruled half of the area. He passed away at the age of fifty-six. He passed the throne to his eldest son Mune Tsenpo and established offerings. He conducted three distributions of hunger and wealth. He reigned for two and a half years and was poisoned at the age of twenty-nine. The second son, Mutik Tsenpo, while his father was alive, was exiled to the north for killing the son of the minister Zhang without reason. Later, he was invited back and planned to put him on the throne, but Zhang Nanamza killed him, so he did not ascend the throne, it is said. During the time of the youngest son, Tri De Songtsen Sadnalegs, he waged war against Han China. He provided service to Kamalashila and others, and managed religious and political affairs. It is said that King Sada passed away when his son was thirteen years old. The son Langdarma had five sons, managed religious and political affairs, and passed away at the age of fifty-five. The eldest son Tsangma became a monk. Relpachen took the throne at the age of twelve. He promoted Buddhism and created new script. He built the nine-story Odjang Do Stone Temple. He launched a war against China and conducted frontline operations. He erected stone tablets in Lhasa, China, and the border of China, Smeru. He ruled half of the world. At the age of thirty-six, he was

He was killed. His brother Ya Langdar was appointed king, and the two Jowo statues were buried in the ground. All the temples were destroyed, and all the religious practitioners were killed. The people of Mar, Yo, and Tsang carried scriptures and fled to Kham. After that, Lhalung Pelgyi Dorje, as prophesied by the goddess Pal Lha, killed the king and fled to Kham. Later, the younger queen gave birth to a son named Odsung. The elder queen, out of jealousy, adopted a beggar's child, claiming he was born to the king's daughter, and named him Yumten. When these two children were young, the ministers took out the two Jowo statues and rebuilt the temples. When they grew up, they disagreed, and a civil war broke out, destroying the tombs. Odsung built the Bya Lhakhang temple. He had sons named Pelkhortsen, Kyide Nyima Gon, and Trashis Tseg, but the territory was lost to Yumten, who became the king of Ngari. Yumten had a son named Khri de Gon. Khri de Gon had two sons, the elder Rigpa Gon and the younger Nyima Gon. Nyima Gon had a son named Nyio Pelgon. This lineage is numerous in the Rungshod, Panyul, and Dokham regions. Among the descendants of Khri Rigpa Gon were Lhatsun Gonpo, Lhatsun Bodhiraja, Smyugrum pa, and others. It is said that their descendants are spread everywhere, and all those named Jowo are their descendants. It is also heard that the lineage died out after eight generations. For ninety-eight years, there was no sound of Dharma. After that, Lachen Gongpa Rabsel became a monk in Kham, and the flame of Buddhism was rekindled. At that time, Tsana Yeshe Gyaltsen, a descendant of Yumten, sent seven people from U-Tsang to Kham. After they became monks, Buddhism flourished in U-Tsang. As mentioned earlier, Kyide Nyima Gon, a descendant of Odsung, became the king of Ngari and ruled Purang. His eldest son, Pelgon, occupied Yarlung and established a royal lineage. The second son, Trashigon, occupied Purang. The youngest son, Detseg Gon, occupied Zhangzhung, and they were called the Three Gons of the Upper Region. Detseg Gon had two sons, Khorde and Songde. Songde had two sons, Nagaraja and Devaraja, the latter became a monk and was known as Lha Lama Yeshe O. He built the Khording Lhakhang temple. Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo and Ngok Legpai She

Twenty-one people were sent to India and other places. Pandit Shri Dakara and others were invited, and the Vinaya of Upper Tibet flourished. His elder brother built Khachar Lhakhang. Lhade, his son, invited Pandit Subhashi and Pandit Rameru. Lhade's sons were Shiwawo, the eldest; Lha Lama Jangchub Wo, the middle one; and Wo De Wo, the youngest. At this time, Yeshe Wo went to India to invite a Pandit, but was captured by heretics. He was ransomed with gold of equal weight, but his vital points were burned. So he said, "Now invite Jowo Rinpoche," and then passed away. Jangchub Wo, according to his uncle's will, released the Indian prisoners and invited Jowo Rinpoche. Wo De invited Pandit Dhana Shri. His sons, Tsen De and others, successively ruled Guge, Purang, Mangyul, and other places. They also ruled Ya-rtse. The royal family of Ya-rtse offered a golden roof to Jowo and the Eleven-faced Avalokiteshvara statue. Furthermore, Trashis Tsek, the descendant of Wo-sung mentioned above, had three sons: Pelde, Wode, and Kyide. They are called the three Lde who reside in the lower part. The lineage of Pelde, Lhatsewa, Langlung Tsekhorwa, and others, flourished in Upper Tibet and below. Kyide was placed in Shangta Nak, and had six sons, five of whom went to the north. The Tsanpo of Dro and Nyangto, etc., are located in Tsang. The descendants of the Tsanpo of Dro include Chaktsen and others. The middle son, Wode, had four sons: Pawa Dese, Tride Trichung, and Nyakde. The descendants of the eldest are in Nubyul Rong and Yakté Nyangto and other places. The descendants of Tride are in Kham, from Mar to Dong Tsongkha Gyalpo and Domé Tsanpo Ngompa Lhadong Karpo and others. The descendants of Nyakde are in Tsang Yaru. The descendants of Trichung are in Yarlung, and the Yarlung Jowo also appeared in this place. They seized Kukhar Phyingnga Taktsé. Trabukpa, Jyingpa, Jarpa, and other Chumik Hopoba, as well as Yarda and others. From this lineage, the lord Drakpa Rinchen went to China to request Chakchi from Chögyal Phagpa. He received the decree of Sechin Gyalpo. He built Drakha Palace and ruled over everything. The Yarlung Jowo up to the present time is an unbroken royal lineage. Thus, after the Dharma Kings of Tibet, the lineage of Lang Pelgyi Senge, the greatest, is the lineage of siddhas and mantra practitioners.
