呼唤父母，夜晚难眠，没有黎明之时，白天昏沉，无法承受寒热，安放于舒适之处，关节却嘎嘎作响，无法送去排尿，便溺于坐垫之上，令人厌恶，年轻人加以鄙视虐待，无法穿上破旧的衣服，忍受寒冷，不知遮掩羞处，显露于人，成为年轻人观赏嘲笑的对象，积攒的食物财产，归于妻子掌管，即便呼唤口渴饥饿，也不说一句安慰的话，即使疼爱，也被称为老废物、老尸体，临死之时，说“不要待在这里”，不予理睬，所有的爱也变得厌烦，说“该死了”，老态龙钟，厌倦至极，想要结束生命，心中所想，向人倾诉，哭泣厌倦，缺乏食物和衣物，水火不济，无法提供食物衣物，祈愿早日摆脱衰老的痛苦而死去，如是说。第三，疾病的痛苦是：世尊说：疾病的痛苦，身体被疾病折磨，口干舌燥，手脚颤抖，口水、鼻涕、尿液、呕吐物沾染身体，药物和食物都变得无味，只能躺在简陋的床上。以及，《广大游舞经》中说：百病丛生，疾病缠身，痛苦不堪，众生受折磨，如同人类中的饿鬼一般，观察被衰老和疾病摧残的众生，请迅速讲述由业力所生的痛苦！例如，冬末风雪交加，草木枯萎，森林药材也失去光泽，同样，疾病夺走众生的光彩，感官、容貌和力量都衰退，珍宝和巨额财富最终耗尽，疾病总是轻贱众生，带来损害，憎恨痛苦，彻底折磨，如同天空中的太阳。以及，邬金仁波切说：第三，宣说疾病的痛苦是：身体的四大不调，风、胆、涎混合，以无明为因，饿鬼为缘，天花、瘟疫、肠胃绞痛、咳嗽、淋巴结肿大，以及，刀剑所伤和四大慢性疾病等，无法尽述的各种疾病，严重侵袭，可怜的病人，无法忍受疾病的折磨，牙齿紧咬，嘴唇紧闭，手脚抽搐，眼睛深陷，毛发竖立，孔窍发出恶臭

Calling out to parents, unable to sleep at night, with no time for dawn, drowsy during the day, unable to withstand the cold and heat, even when placed in a comfortable spot, the joints creak, unable to be taken to urinate, defecating on the cushion, repulsive to people, scorned and abused by the young, unable to wear tattered clothes, enduring the cold, not knowing how to conceal shameful places, exposing them to others, becoming an object of ridicule and mockery for the young, the accumulated food and wealth are controlled by the wife, even when crying out for thirst and hunger, not a word of comfort is spoken, even if cherished, they are called old waste, old corpse, at the time of death, they say "don't stay here," and ignore them, all affection turns to disgust, saying "it's time to die," senile and exhausted, wanting to end life, what is in the heart is told to others, crying and weary, lacking food and clothing, water and fire are not available, unable to provide food and clothing, praying to be freed from the suffering of old age and die, thus it is said. Third, the suffering of illness is: The Blessed One said: The suffering of illness, the body is tormented by disease, the mouth is dry, the limbs tremble, saliva, mucus, urine, and vomit stain the body, medicine and food become tasteless, one can only lie on a simple bed. And, in the 《Extensive Play Sutra》 it says: Hundreds of diseases arise, illness pervades, suffering is unbearable, beings are tormented, like hungry ghosts among humans, observing beings destroyed by old age and illness, please quickly tell of the suffering arising from karma! For example, in late winter, wind and snow are heavy, grass and trees wither, forest medicines also lose their luster, similarly, disease steals the radiance of beings, the senses, appearance, and strength decline, jewels and great wealth are ultimately exhausted, disease always despises beings, brings harm, hates suffering, completely torments, like the sun in the sky. And, Orgyen Rinpoche said: Third, explaining the suffering of illness is: The four elements of the body are imbalanced, wind, bile, and phlegm are mixed, with ignorance as the cause, hungry ghosts as the condition, smallpox, plague, intestinal cramps, cough, swollen lymph nodes, and, wounds from swords and the four chronic diseases, etc., countless kinds of diseases, severely attack, the pitiful patient, unable to bear the torment of illness, teeth clenched, lips sealed, limbs twitching, eyes sunken, hair standing on end, orifices emitting foul odors.
