There is no suffering that does not exist, no being that is satisfied with desire, and no being that does not sleep hungry. Therefore, how can beings in samsara be without attachment? Thus it is said. In order to achieve happiness and enjoyment in life after life, one has died countless times. In the Sutra of Taming Desire, it says: When seeking and enjoying desires, the number of times one has fallen into the mouths of lions and died for a long time cannot be counted. The number of times one has been slaughtered and eaten as beef cannot be counted. The number of times one has become a frog and been swallowed by a snake cannot be counted. The number of times one has been born in the water and been swallowed by a crocodile cannot be counted. The blood accumulated from experiencing intense, harsh, and unbearable suffering and dying is more than the water of the great ocean. The bones discarded are higher than Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains. Thus it is said. Thus, when wandering in samsara, one has also obtained the kingdoms of gods and humans, and has also obtained immeasurable happiness, but one is never satisfied or content with these happiness and enjoyments. In the Extensive Play Sutra, it says: Whether it is the desire of the gods or the desire of humans, even if one person obtains all desires, he will not be satisfied and will continue to seek. Also, the Bhagavan said: Even if this earth is filled with mountains, oceans, and all kinds of jewels, people will never be satisfied, just like the flames on trees in the hot summer. Thus it is said. Thus, from countless eons, we have wandered in this samsara. Although countless Buddhas have appeared in the past, we have not been liberated. We should generate renunciation for this. In the Bodhisattvacharyavatara, it says: Although countless Buddhas who benefit beings have appeared, I have not become an object of their taming due to my own faults. If I continue to do so now, I will experience suffering such as disease, death, cutting, and killing in the lower realms. With such actions of mine, it will be difficult to even obtain a human body. If I cannot obtain a human body, there will only be evil and no virtue. Therefore, I will fall into the endless lower realms, falling lower and lower. Thus it is said, therefore it is very important to contemplate the faults of samsara. Vidyadhara Nagarjuna said: The hell of one day, which is extremely hot and cold

Thus remember, also remember the hungry ghosts who are emaciated by hunger and thirst; also remember the animals who are afflicted by the suffering of ignorance; abandon the causes of these and practice the causes of happiness; the human body of Jambudvipa is difficult to obtain; when you obtain it, you should cut off the causes of the lower realms; you should diligently restrain yourself. Thus it is said, and you should also meditate on the suffering of the change of the happy realms; in the Four Hundred Verses it says: To the wise, even the heavens are like hell, causing fear; in all ways, among them, there is no place where fear does not arise. Thus it is said. Therefore, samsara is a vast and deep ocean of suffering; in the Four Hundred Verses it says: This ocean of suffering has no end in any way; foolish child, why do you not fear drowning in it? Thus it is said. In the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son it says: Seeing the faults of samsara, a mind of renunciation arises; fearing the prison of the three realms, you should abandon it with a mind of diligence. Thus it is said. Nāgārjuna said: Samsara is like that, so birth in the realms of asuras, hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals is not good; birth is a harm of many harms, please know this. And in the Extensive Play Sutra it says: Children are attached to and delighted in this samsara, just as pigs are attached to impure things; here beings are drowning, just as elephants are drowning in mud; here beings are attached, just as dogs are attached to bones; here beings are bound, just as in a prison; here beings fall, just as moths fall into flames; here beings are trapped, just as fish are trapped in nets; here beings revolve, just as the potter's wheel revolves; here beings are deceived, just as a swindler leads away a child. Thus it is said. The meaning of these was spoken by the Great Master of Oddiyana (Padmasambhava): In these six cities of karma without liberation, like a water wheel from one place to another, the beings of endless samsara are so pitiful! Thus, since the beings of the six realms have not passed beyond the nature of suffering, you should definitely listen to and meditate on the unsurpassed Guru Yoga. Thus it is said. Therefore, the main object of meditation
