Do not utter sounds of negligence. Please abide in great peace. To all the earth lords, nagas, and fierce spirits, I, the patron and benefactor, confess all transgressions. Have you cut down trees sacred to fierce spirits with an axe? Have you stirred up the depths inhabited by water spirits? Have you destroyed the foundations of fortresses sacred to fierce spirits? Have you trampled on the grass sacred to fierce spirits with a sickle? Have you committed offenses near the hearth of the earth lord's neck? Have you burned corpses on the land sacred to fierce spirits? Have you set fire to mountains sacred to fierce spirits? Have you placed stones as obstacles on the road? To all these and other offenses against the earth lords, we confess. Please purify your resentment and jealousy, and do not harbor grudges. Please abide in peaceful bodhicitta. Now, we offer feasts to the thirteen demons. Bundles of grass arrows, stone arrows, crystal serpent ornaments, wooden white decorations, tiger skin mats, various colored silks, butter pills, thukpa trees, offerings of food and brave drinks, and barley ears adorned with white lime. With these, we offer feasts to the thirteen demons. Do not utter sounds of negligence. Do not let demons descend. Turn the male demons upwards, and press the female demons downwards. Make vows to the gods, offer gifts to humans, and make sacrifices to the spirits. Today, all days are auspicious. All planets and stars are favorable. All Buddhas possess great miraculous powers. All Arhats are free from defilements. By the truth and truthful words, may peace and well-being be upon me and the benefactor. Thus, it is said. In short, it can also be used as praise after offering the torma. Then, the praise is to be done: Hūṃ! World protectors with samaya, kings, queens, and princes, along with subordinate kings, ministers, messengers, emanations, retinues, and assemblies, gods of years, months, days, and hours, assemblies of gods, nagas, yakshas, and fierce spirits, assemblies of planets, stars, and elementals, all local deities and ground lords, we respectfully prostrate and praise. At this time, recite the Sutra of Eight Auspicious Signs three times or more. Continue. If there is illness, cure it; if there is discord, reconcile it; if there is inferiority, praise it. May your mind be peaceful and endowed with the mind of enlightenment. Do not sow discord among you, do not compete, do not seek quarrels. For this great task of mine, do not be jealous, do not be suspicious, do not boast, do not listen to the discord of evil spirits and demons, do not rely on the support of evil-doing obstructors, do not break the commands of gods and protectors, do not forget your respective vows. Please always regard us as friends and companions, and we beseech you to always provide great help for benefit and happiness. Thus speaking, scatter flowers. If counting the number of times, then bless the offerings, tormas, sustenance, and perform the consecration. Count the repetitions of offering, presenting tormas, praising, reciting the Sutra of Eight Aspects, and supplicating for activities. Then, the request for forgiveness: Ho! All of you in the place of offering, please listen! In the ritual of offering to appearance and existence, if there are omissions, errors, contradictions, negligence, and incomplete offerings, stinginess, and defilement, whatever is contrary to your mind, we ask for forgiveness, please grant purity. Thus speaking, for the supports of body, speech, and mind of the wisdom beings, (Tibetan: ཨོཾ，Devanagari: oṃ，IAST: om，Literal meaning: Om). Here, together with the support, abiding for the benefit of beings, without illness, with long life and power, please bestow all that is supreme. May the day be auspicious, may the night be auspicious, may the midday also be auspicious. May day and night always be auspicious, may all Buddhas always be auspicious. Protect yourself with this. May all beings, through this virtue, complete the accumulation of merit and wisdom, and from the merit and wisdom that arises.
