First, the preparations: In a clean place where there have been no corpses or impurities, in the center of the torma platform, first is Mount Meru with four levels of steps, surrounded by the four continents, oceans, and iron fence, arranged as beautifully as possible. On top of that, in the heart of the turtle-shaped form, place the images of the earth deity father, mother, and son, or three tormas decorated with white, round lotus petals. Place four small tormas in the four directions. Outside of that, place the forms or tormas of the eight trigrams, nine palaces, and twelve zodiac animals respectively, and the forms of the four guardian deities. On the first level of Mount Meru, place the tormas of the eight classes of beings or eight small tormas. Starting from the second level, place offerings, desirable objects, auspicious substances and symbols, the seven royal emblems, crops that grow without plowing, treasure vases, etc., representing worldly wealth, as well as wild animals, domestic animals, and various aquatic creatures at the base. The continents and oceans are also filled with desirable objects, tormas, pills, the three whites, the three sweets, grains, medicines, etc. The perimeter is decorated with trees, paints, cotton, and various silks. Above, the sky is adorned with silk banners and the like, and various kinds of birds are made to fly. In front, arrange golden libation and five-part tormas, tsampa dough, food essence, crystal shards, and all the necessary utensils below. In the sky above that, if it is not comfortable, then on a high platform in the back, display the images representing body, speech, and mind, scriptures, and stupas, and arrange offerings as much as possible before them. Then, the self-generation: One can follow the sadhana of whatever yidam one practices, or if it is particularly related to this, then take refuge: To the Buddhas, Dharma, and Sangha, the supreme ones.

In all my lives, I take refuge; Through the merit of my generosity and other virtues, May I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings. Refuge and Bodhicitta. May all sentient beings have happiness and the causes of happiness; may they be free from suffering and the causes of suffering; may they never be separated from the sacred happiness that is without suffering; may they abide in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion, near and far. Meditate on the four immeasurables. Om Svabhava, etc. From the state of emptiness, in an instant, perfectly arise, the place is a pure and vast realm. In the center of various eight-petaled lotuses, the main deity manifested by oneself, Shakya King, golden in color, earth-touching mudra, seated in meditative equipoise, with the attire of a nirmanakaya. Seated in vajra posture, radiating light. On the inner lotus petals reside the eight close sons, and on the outer petals reside the eight great Shravakas.
