English
Endowed with power, the eight great Nagas, in order to accomplish all beings' purposes, I invite you to sit upon the unstained lotus seat. I invite you to sit with a joyful and delighted mind. Nāga rāca sapa risa maya tiṣṭha lhan. Padma kamalā siṃ. With this, contemplate inviting them to sit with a peaceful mind. Then, the prostration is: Hūṃ! Emanating from the heart of the Sugata, possessing miraculous powers, appearing in whatever form tames whomsoever, with a large belly below the body, with the color of pure gold, adorned with jewels, I prostrate and praise the eight great Nagas of the four lineages. Phu Nāga rāca ati pūho. Namo upataya mi. Then, the expulsion of the Naga's evil spirits is: Hūṃ! White protector, conch-blower, etc., the nine types of harmful spirits that harm the nine great Nagas, I expel them. Take this ring and bell, you nine, move to another place. If you do not leave, the Garuda will devour you. Therefore, do not stay, leave quickly! Wrathful Garuda cale cale hūṃ phaṭ! Thus, the evil spirits are expelled. Purifying obscurations and offering bathing: Showing the image in a mirror, bathing with vase water, and saying this: Hūṃ! Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, these are the three poisons of the world. The Bhagavan Buddha has no poison. By the truth of the Buddha, subdue the poisons! Oṃ buddha satvaya bhe nāga sarva karma śuddhe sarva śāntaṃ kuru ye svāhā! Hūṃ! Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, these are the three poisons of the world. The Bhagavan Dharma has no Dharma poison. By the truth of the Dharma, subdue the poisons! Oṃ dharma dheya bhe nāga sarva karma śuddhe sarva śāntiṃ kuru ye svāhā! Hūṃ! Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, these are the three poisons of the world. The Bhagavan Sangha has no Sangha poison. By the truth of the Sangha, subdue the poisons! Oṃ saṃgha sate bhe sarva karma śuddhe śāntaṃ kuru ye svāhā! By the blessings of the Three Jewels, may the obscurations of body, speech, and mind of the Nagas and all suffering be pacified! Thus, say. Then, the offering is: Hūṃ! This immaculate and pleasing pure water, I offer to the Naga King and his retinue. Having accepted it, please make me happy. Please accept it to eliminate Naga diseases. Please accept it to release Naga bonds. Please accept it to release white vein disease. Oṃ nāga rāca sapārivāra āhūṃ praticchaya.
