When oppressed by the darkness of ignorance, may bright wisdom support us. When carried away by the wind of distraction, may stable samadhi support us. When dominated by laziness, may steadfast diligence support us. When dominated by anger, may enduring patience support us. When dominated by promiscuity, may the possession of discipline support us. When bound by the clinging of miserliness, may the compassion of generosity support us. When gods and demons display cruelty, may emptiness and compassion support us. When harmed by the eight fears, may the goddess Tara support us. When the malice of nagas and demons spreads, may the Garuda king support us. When astrological signs and omens are harsh, may Manjushri support us. When the malice of planetary demons spreads, may Vajrapani support us.
