For the sake of all sentient beings, for the sake of benefiting them, for the sake of liberating them, for the sake of their being free from illness, for the sake of their being free from famine, for the sake of perfecting all the dharmas of the path to enlightenment, and for the sake of realizing the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Having thus taken the vows of purification, I, named so-and-so, from this time forth, until the sun rises tomorrow, will take the vows of purification, and will uphold them properly. From today onwards, I will not kill living beings, nor will I take the wealth of others. I will not engage in sexual activity, nor will I speak false words. I will completely abstain from alcohol, which is the basis for many faults. I will not use high or large beds or seats, nor will I eat food at inappropriate times. I will abstain from perfumes, garlands, ornaments, singing, dancing, and so forth. Just as the Arhats always do not kill living beings, and so forth, so I will abstain from killing living beings, and so forth. May I quickly attain unsurpassed enlightenment. May I liberate all sentient beings who are tormented by suffering from the ocean of samsara. Thus, recite three times. Then, in the sky in front of me, on a precious throne and a supreme lotus, with hundreds of thousands of petals, is a moon disc, and upon it, from the letter Hrīḥ in my own heart, light radiates forth, inviting the glorious Lama and, inseparable from Great Compassion, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the four families, who are seated there, surrounded by attendants. The body of, the essence of Vajradhara. The root of the Three Jewels. I prostrate and praise the Lamas. The Dharmakaya of the Sugatas of the three times. Avalokiteśvara for the six realms of sentient beings. The eleven faces that pervade like the sky. I prostrate and praise the glorious Amitabha. The body is white in color, unstained by faults. Adorned with the complete Buddha on the head. He gazes at beings with eyes of compassion. I prostrate and praise Avalokiteśvara. Although the Dharmakaya is indivisible like the sky, the Rupakaya is distinctly clear like a rainbow. Possessing mastery over the supreme method and wisdom. I prostrate and praise the Five Sugatas. From the seed syllable in my heart, emanate flowers, incense, lamps, scented water, food, etc. Offered by the goddesses who hold them. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཤུ་ནྱ་ཏ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཨརྨ་ཀོཉཧཾ།, Devanagari: , Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva atma ko 'haṃ, Literal Meaning: Om, emptiness wisdom vajra nature who am I?) All phenomena that are included by the grasper and the grasped, become empty. From that nature, a lotus and, a full moon disc, on top of that, from my own mind, a white Hrīḥ, radiates light, accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. Then it gathers back, the Hrīḥ syllable lotus, golden and blazing, marked with Hīḥ. Again, from that, light radiates like an iron hook and a rope. Inviting all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, they dissolve into it. In an instant, the lotus, together with the Hrīḥ, is completely transformed. Myself becomes the noble Avalokiteśvara.
