On the crown of the head is the lama, Akshobhya, the wish-fulfilling jewel, residing in the essence of the King of Power. To his right, on the moon, from the syllable mām arises the prince, appearing like the sun, reddish-yellow. His left hand holds the stem of a lotus at his heart, residing on the sun atop the lotus. To his left, on the lotus and moon, from the syllable ā arises the prince, appearing like the moon, white. Both hold the stem of a lotus marked with the moon in their left hands at their hearts, and both make the gesture of supreme generosity with their right hands, adorned with the ornaments of complete enjoyment, gazing at the main deity with a standing posture. On the foreheads of all three, the main deity and retinue, is Oṃ. At the throat is Āḥ. At the heart is Hūṃ. From Hūṃ, rays of light emanate, inviting the wisdom beings. Vajrasamājaḥ, Arghaṃ, etc. Jaḥ Hūṃ Vaṃ Hoḥ, becoming inseparable from the commitment beings. Again, with the light from the heart, invite the five families. Andhaṃ, etc. I beseech you to grant me empowerment. Having prayed thus, the five families bestow empowerment. Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Abhiṣekāta Samaya Śrīye Hūṃ. After this empowerment, the master of the family, from the excess water flowing upwards, Akshobhya is adorned on the head, surrounded by the four families. Then, from the white Oṃ at one's own forehead, it completely transforms into Vairocana, surrounded by the victorious ones of the four families. From the red Āḥ at the throat, it completely transforms into Amitābha, surrounded by the other four families. From the dark blue Hūṃ at the heart, it completely transforms into Akshobhya, surrounded by the other four families. Thus, at the hearts of the three deities of body, speech, and mind, at the heart of each Medicine Buddha, the wisdom being, on a moon seat, around the dark blue Hūṃ, are the near heart mantra and the long dhāraṇī. From this, light radiates, purifying the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings, placing them on the ground of enlightenment. All Buddhas are pleased.
