Thus it is said. From the Sutra Requested by Gsal Gyal: "Whoever among people bows their head and pays homage with reverence to the supreme Buddhas and their images, they will be greatly and constantly revered by gods and humans." Thus it is said. From the Sutra of the White Lotus of the Sacred Dharma: "Whoever joins their palms at a stupa, or joins one complete palm, or even bows their head for a moment, to those places where relics reside, if they pay homage with a distracted mind, saying 'I prostrate to the Buddha,' even if they utter one word, repeating it several times, all of them will attain supreme enlightenment." Thus it is said. The benefits of prayer flags: From the Root Tantra of the Gongdü: "On a tree that is not a poisonous tree, write dharani mantras on immaculate silk. Erect them on high mountains, in monasteries, towns, villages, and in places where merchants gather and crowds assemble. They will possess happiness and be free from suffering, increase fortune and possess merit. All sentient beings touched by the wind that carries the flags will be born in a pure land by that dharani mantra. The benefits of this cannot be expressed." Thus it is said. The benefits of restoration: In the Great Prophecy, the Sealed Teaching, Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) said: "The merit of building temples and stupas now, in the degenerate age of the final five hundred years of the future, whoever restores dilapidated temples and stupas, their merit is greater than a hundred thousand rains, and it is of great significance. Whoever is the person who restores, whether they are a mantra practitioner, a lama, a monastic, or a renunciate, whatever their lineage, ancestry, or descent, all of them are the land of the victorious ones or the best of the fortunate ones. Because they are not ordinary but have special qualities, they should be offered respect, service, flattery, and reverence." Thus it is said. Thus, if people are joyful and respectful at the time of restoration, the benefits are: From the Sutra Requested by Gsal Gyal: "Whoever among people, with joy and respect, performs bodily actions for the supreme stupas and images, their wealth will be greatly increased in all existences." Thus it is said. Furthermore, if we briefly explain the sutra that teaches the causes and effects of good and bad deeds, offering flowers to a stupa will result in a beautiful and fragrant body, rebirth in higher realms, great retinue and possessions, and the swift attainment of arhatship, among other ten benefits. Offering incense will result in a beautiful appearance, a fragrant smell, a retinue of
