续部中也，广说了火供的作法后，说了它的利益，此后事业的果实迅速成就，息增怀诛达到究竟，获得八大共同事业后，所有心想的事业都成就。天龙夜叉罗刹等，从延寿疾病等一切损害中解脱。如是说。护法总供朵玛的事业续部中，薄伽梵开示说：凡是想要平息损害，想要清净罪业和障碍的，就作息灾的火供。想要寿命、权势、福德增长，想要一切财富增长的，就作增长的火供，广大地作。对于出世间和世间，国王的儿子等，想要摄受的，就圆满作怀业的火供。为了以猛烈的事业诛杀一切怨敌魔障毒害，就圆满作诛业的火供。为了迅速成就殊胜和共同的一切成就，就息增怀诛一起，圆满作火供仪轨。如是说。胜乐续中说：此后火供仪轨，必定能自在。仅仅知道的，就说能迅速获得成就。如是说。没有比这更殊胜的其他，三界中没有。如是说。这些是总的火供的利益。个别特殊供品的利益是，胜乐根本续中说：此后又说火供的，一切支分所生的殊胜果实。土地和地基田地增长的，火坛的支分是施主增长。酥油能成办一切财富，阎尸麻能令威光增长。木柴特别能令人勇敢。吉祥草能守护一切。芥子能息灭。稻米说是能增长。芝麻要知道能摧毁罪业。稗子能招来财物和谷物。豆类能令力量强大。青稞能极大地给予风的力量。香茅能令寿命增长。小麦能摧毁一切疾病。牛奶蜂蜜能增长智慧。殊胜食物能给予一切安乐。火能给予想要的意义和成就。给予从任何想要的业中解脱。

Also in the tantras, having extensively explained the method of performing fire pujas, it speaks of its benefits: Thereafter, the fruits of actions are quickly accomplished. Pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful actions reach their culmination. Having obtained the eight great common accomplishments, all desired siddhis are accomplished. Even gods, nagas, yakshas, and rakshasas are liberated from all harm such as prolonging life and diseases. Thus it is said. In the Karma Tantra of the General Torma of Dharma Protectors, the Bhagavan declared: Those who desire to pacify harm and purify sins and obscurations should perform the pacifying fire puja. Those who desire to increase life, power, merit, and all wealth should perform the increasing fire puja extensively. For those in the world and beyond, sons of kings, etc., who desire to be subjugated, the subjugating fire puja should be performed completely. In order to completely destroy all enemies, obstacles, and poisons through fierce actions, the wrathful fire puja should be performed completely. In order to quickly accomplish all supreme and common siddhis, the pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful actions should be performed together, and the fire puja ritual should be performed completely. Thus it is said. In the Chakrasamvara Tantra, it is said: Thereafter, the fire puja ritual will surely be mastered. It is said that merely knowing it will quickly lead to the attainment of siddhis. Thus it is said. There is nothing more supreme than this; it does not exist in the three realms. Thus it is said. These are the general benefits of fire pujas. The individual benefits of specific substances are: In the Chakrasamvara Root Tantra, it is said: Thereafter, the excellent fruits arising from all the branches of the fire puja are explained. The branch of the hearth that increases land and fields increases the patrons. Ghee accomplishes all wealth. Yamshi increases splendor. Firewood especially makes one brave. Kusha grass protects everything. Mustard seeds pacify. Rice is said to increase. Sesame seeds should be known to destroy sins. Millet attracts wealth and grains. Beans make strength great. Barley greatly gives the power of wind. Durva grass increases life. Wheat destroys all diseases. Milk and honey increase wisdom. Excellent food gives all happiness. Fire gives the desired meaning and accomplishment. It grants liberation from any desired action.

O! The remainder is in accordance with karma, know the actions of pacifying and so on. Also, in some Chinese texts, these words are mostly similar, saying: Abundant fruits and offspring increase, flower colors and splendor increase, fragrance and divination auspiciously increase. These are the benefits that can be generally compared to all the new and old tantras of Yidam and Dharma protectors. Furthermore, from the root tantra of each deity's Chakrasamvara, Heruka Abhisamaya, Manjushri Root Tantra, etc., methods are taught for accomplishing various activities by relying on various different burnt offerings. Similarly, in the Nyingma school, there are also unparalleled fire offering instructions, all of which should be understood in the context of each deity. These are brief summaries. In detail, the methods of performing fire offerings and the endless mantras are taught in the boundless tantric scriptures. Therefore, it is crucial that the meaning of obtaining our human body should not be separated from any of the outer, inner, and secret true fire offerings. Emaho! All supreme and common attainments without exception, the means to manifest the fruit without delay in the future, the meaning extensively taught in all the tantras, many Tibetan and Indian translators have repeatedly explained. However, the vajra words are difficult to understand. Some obscure the practice with too much explanation. Some have different views from each tantra, and although the fire offerings of each mandala are numerous, it is difficult to grasp them separately without knowing how to compare them. Even some of the general fire offerings of the tantras do not mention the ground line rituals here. When offering fire offerings to Dharma protectors and others without ground lines, how should the ground rituals be performed? Therefore, it is difficult for new students to obtain those qualified treatises. Some fire offerings that follow explanations appear inconvenient to practice and become a laughing stock. Nowadays, the practices of most Acharyas do not conform to the tantric scriptures, and they improvise as they please. Some knowingly do not act but pretend to be great. Some do not know but are greedy and keep their mouths shut. Without even knowing the eight great lines, they use flour and water powder as colored powder on circles drawn with the tip of a door nail. Some ground ritual lines face the sunrise, and the essential mantras are few.
