In one's own heart, on the moon or sun seat, the seed syllable is surrounded by a mantra garland, from which light radiates, purifying the realms of sentient beings. After offering to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the wisdom mantra garland of their non-dual minds is invited in that form and dissolves into one's own heart. The vase deity dissolves into the water of the vase. I beseech the Bhagavan (name), to bestow empowerment upon me and my disciples. Having made this request, if you wish to elaborate at this time, take self-entry, and empower yourself completely as if empowering a disciple. If you wish to abbreviate, take empowerment through samadhi, and it is acceptable to recite it verbally or contemplate it mentally. From the forehead, throat, heart, navel, and secret place of the deity generated in front, white, red, blue, yellow, and green rays of light emanate, dissolving into my own five places, purifying the four obscurations, and becoming one who has the fortune to manifest the four empowerments and the four kayas. At the end of the heart mantra of whichever deity, add kāya vāk citta sarva abhiṣiñca hūṃ.
