Because of the infinite, all vehicles produce sounds that teach according to the thoughts of sentient beings. The sound pervades the sky and widely teaches the Dharma. When teaching the Dharma called "Completely Pure Mandala of Melodies" on Vulture Peak, relying on Maitreya, the son of Maudgalyayana, desiring to measure the extent of the Buddha's speech, went to a world called Light Banner. The Tathagata Light Banner declared: You have come here from worlds as numerous as ninety-nine times the sands of the Ganges River. The speech of the Tathagata pervades as much as the sky. Thus, the Buddha's speech pervades the sky, and Bodhisattvas hear it with pure minds, which is the nature of the Sky Dharma. The definition is that it is not taken from the earth, but arises from the sky, hence it is called Sky Dharma. In the Sutra of the Collection of True Dharma, it is said: For a Bodhisattva with a perfect mind, Dharma arises from the sky. The cause for the arising of Sky Dharma is that a Bodhisattva abiding on the earth first has a pure aspiration to use treasures. The way in which aspirations and karmic connections are fulfilled can be understood from their respective Jataka tales. The condition is: by practicing the deity, the habitual patterns are awakened. In all the great and small practices of the new and old traditions, the signs of accomplishing the practice are, at best, direct perception; at medium, experience; and at worst, seeing the face of the deity in a dream, receiving empowerment, hearing the Dharma, and receiving prophecies. The divisions are: seeing the assembly of the Guru, deity, and dakinis and hearing their teachings; not seeing the assembly but hearing the sound of the Dharma; Sky letters appearing in the sky; scriptures falling from the sky; and emanated letters falling, making five categories. What are the bases for each of these? The others will be explained below. The way in which the rain of scriptures falls from the sky is: the Kriya tantras fell in Varanasi; the Carya tantras fell in a place called Dharadhaja, near the Himalayas; the Yoga tantras fell on Mount Malaya; the Maha Yoga tantras fell on the roof of King Dza's house; the Anu Yoga tantras fell in the forests of Singhala; the Ati Yoga tantras fell in O

It descended upon the island of Dhana Kosha in the land of Nai. Therefore, all the tantras are celestial Dharma. Thus, some of the newer scholars doubted this history of the scriptures of the tantras raining down in India. Later, some of the newer translators went to India and saw the depiction of the scriptures raining down on the old murals in the Shina Lendra Monastery, and their doubts were dispelled, as stated in some religious histories. As for the origin of the incarnate script: When the venerable Marpa saw the large tooth of the Buddha at Vajrasana, he found an unprecedented scroll wrapped in red silk in the folds of its pennant. After making offerings and opening it, he found a palm leaf inscribed with vermilion. He showed it to all the panditas, but none could understand it. A Sinhalese pandita said that it was in Sinhalese phonetic script. So, he went to the land of Sinhala and naturally understood the phonetics, and saw that it was the generation stage of the co-emergent mother and the completion stage of the non-duality of wind and mind. Therefore, the generation and completion stages of Vajravarahi are also incarnate script celestial Dharma. Furthermore, Lord Atisha, Dromtönpa, and Ngok, in Yerpa and other places, had many discussions about the Jataka tales and other Dharma topics, but they were not written down. Later, the great translator Ngok, during the time when Atisha and Dromtönpa were making requests, spoke extensively about the profound and vast Jataka tales and other Dharma teachings. Thinking, "I am old and cannot remember everything, I can only recall fragments," he was very saddened. While wandering in the Sangpu forest to clear his mind, a monk resembling a saffron-robed monk gave him an incarnate scripture without missing a single word, which was copied and became known as the Kadampa Scripture. Therefore, the Kadampa Scripture is also celestial Dharma. Even without seeing a face, the sound of Dharma was heard from the sky: Tilo Sherab Zangpo flew from the land of Oddiyana and on the way to Shar Zahor Norbu Monastery, the sound of formless Dharma was heard from the sky, which was later written down and became known as the Nine Cycles of the Bodyless Dakini Dharma, and the Nine Cycles of the Bodyless Dakini Dharma are definitely celestial Dharma. As for the celestial script appearing from the sky: It is the yellow scroll of Rigdzin Jatsön Nyingpo.
