Moreover, the uncontaminated mind and mental factors that are liberated from desire and so on, as well as other things like intention and diligence, are also. The sutra says: 'Sons of the Buddha with tiger characteristics, what is the chief of complete purification in liberation?' These monks' minds are liberated from desire, free from desire and liberated. The mind is liberated from hatred and ignorance, free from desire and liberated. Like this, what is the intention and diligence that makes the not completely perfect aggregate of liberation completely perfect, or that maintains the already completely perfect?' Therefore, it is said. If correct knowledge is not the tenth branch, because it is included in correct view. It is not, because as previously said, what is the knowledge of cessation and non-arising, that is correct knowledge, but that is not correct view, because the wisdom of cessation and non-arising is not a view. It will be explained like this. Correct knowledge is also the aggregate of the wisdom of liberation, because it knows its own enlightenment. If the mind is liberated, then which mind, past, future, or present, will be liberated? The mind of no more learning is the future that will arise, and it will be liberated from obscurations. The past has obscurations, and the present is like a vajra that directly harms obscurations, because it is simultaneous with the attainment of obscurations, and after that, the mind that is liberated from obscurations arises. (Afflictions are based on their attainment, so they hinder their arising.) Then, how are those who have the nature of non-arising liberated from obscurations? Because it is similar to that. Therefore, it is said in the commentary that the mind of no more learning will be liberated from future obscurations. Then, by what does the path of the past and so on abandon that obscuration? The path of the present, which is about to cease and is directed towards cessation, completely abandons the obscuration of the present. Like this, abandonment is harming through contradictory actions, then the past and future

This is because actions have ceased and have not arisen. If the present path cannot eliminate the present obscurations, it is because in one continuum, the consciousness of afflictions and wisdom would become two continua, and it would lead to contradictions arising simultaneously, and it would also lead to wisdom becoming the cause of the destruction of afflictions. If you say that, it is not so, because the attainment or seeds of afflictions are considered to be abandoned, they do not last long, and they are factors that continuously cause harm, and because they do not have the ability to generate subsequent things to be abandoned, it is said that they hinder generation, therefore there is no fault. So, what is the difference between what is said in the Sutras or Treatises that "the destruction of afflictions is unconditioned," that is, liberation is unconditioned, and the three realms that are said to be "the realm of abandonment," "the realm of detachment from desire," and "the realm of cessation"? It should be understood that what is said to be liberation as unconditioned refers to the three realms of abandonment and so on. For example, the complete exhaustion and abandonment of desire (of the three realms) to be abandoned is the realm of detachment from desire. And the so-called realm of abandonment refers to the complete exhaustion and abandonment of other afflictions besides desire, such as hatred and so on. The so-called realm of cessation refers to the complete exhaustion of the root of afflictions, and the word "root" here also refers to the object and cause, that is, other contaminated forms and so on besides afflictions. (This refers to being separated from the desire of longing.) So, by what thing does the thing that arises with aversion become separated from desire? The patience and wisdom that focus on suffering and the origin of suffering, because these two truths are contaminated, will give rise to aversion. (Because inferior objects are regarded as faults) Whichever patience (four patiences) and (path of meditation) wisdom can actually eliminate afflictions, no matter which of the four truths is the object, it will be separated from all desires. If so, then there are four possibilities for aversion and detachment from desire: one will arise with aversion but will not be separated from desire, this refers to the path of meditation that focuses on suffering and the origin of suffering, whether it is the path of preparation or the path of liberation, there are differences.
