Those who understand reasoning would say the fault of "because of that," but here, the Vaibhashikas, fearing that it would harm their own tenets, state other faults. Like this, if destruction depends on other causes, then mind, sound, flame, lightning, etc., since there are no other causes of destruction, none of them would arise as destruction, because there is no cause. If it is thought that they naturally perish, then the view that (general destruction later) depends on causes is undermined. The Vaibhashikas also do not think that the mind is destroyed by the later mind, and the sound is also destroyed by the later sound, because they (do not arise simultaneously) do not meet. Furthermore, (if the later destroys the former, then) when cooking rice etc. with fire etc., making the unripe ripe, the ripe more ripe, the very ripe even more ripe, since the later destroys the former, the cause of production will also become the cause of destruction. If that is the case, if the cause of production itself is the cause of destruction, then (either producing two opposite results, or) just as soon as it is produced, it will perish, so conditioned things (not perishing) will not move to other places, and (later) it will also be established that it does not depend on other causes. The Vaibhashikas think that the body's movements are shapes that are different substances from color. To this, the Sutrantikas say that if it is just that shape, the eye consciousness can also see it, and when touched by the body's senses, the body's consciousness can also know it, then one form of the sense base would become the object of two senses, but that is impossible. Therefore, the arrangement of color atoms is the shape of color, and the arrangement of touchable atoms is the shape of touchable things, because that is how it is established, so there is no other substance other than these two. (If long etc. shapes are held by the eye and eye consciousness, then just by touching with the body, a consciousness of holding long etc. shapes will arise, because experience has proven this, so the shape itself will become the object of two senses, but in reality it is not held. Therefore, the differences in the arrangement of coarse atoms of color and touchable things that appear to the eye consciousness and body consciousness are fabricated as shapes by the conceptual mind, but there is no shape.

Neither eye consciousness nor body consciousness grasps. Saying that the body grasps is the same reason as saying that the eye grasps, which is a refutation. Furthermore, if it is argued that it is absurd for multiple shapes to exist in one place because in mandalas, etc., one square or round thing appears in various colors, then the view that multiple shapes do not appear in one place is ruined. Gross form of shape cannot exist because its constituent particles have no shape.) Furthermore, if shape exists as a substance, then atoms would have shape, because only atoms constitute substantial form. It is not the case that atoms have shape, because it would entail having parts. Because shape does not exist on atoms, shape is also not a substance, although it is said that way, but if so, color and tactile objects would also not exist, because shape is their nature, and it is not a substance. If it is not their nature, nor is it a different thing from them, then because it has not become a thing, it would lead to not appearing to the unconfused root consciousness, which is unanswerable. Therefore, saying that shape is not at all a substance is not well regarded by those who speak reason. The verbal expression is the sound of the nature of speech itself. Saying the sound of speech is to avoid going to the general. Expression is because it makes one aware of the thought that arises from oneself. The Sutra School believes that the nature of body and speech is not karma, but even at those times, it is mind, because if the mind becomes virtuous or non-virtuous, the body and speech appear as non-virtuous and virtuous, but in reality, they become virtuous and sinful. Then, haven't two kinds of karma, mind and thought, been spoken of? The karma of mind and thought is spoken of in order, under the control of the intention of cause and time. Speaking of body and speech as karma is to make the mind reach the ultimate, so it is spoken of as karma, but at all times it is mind. This principle is accepted by all Mahayana practitioners. Second, explaining non-expression. So, if the nature of non-expression has been explained, then
