A square with a circumference of two hundred yojanas, beautifully shaped, pleasing to look at, and beautiful, filled with water possessing eight qualities. It is covered with উৎপal flowers, lotuses, water lilies, and white lotuses. From within it, the four great rivers, such as the Ganges, each with five hundred tributaries, circle Lake Manasarovar clockwise, flowing from the mouths of rock elephants in the east, the mouths of bull kings in the south, the mouths of horses in the west, and the mouths of lions in the north, and sequentially flowing into the eastern, southern, western, and northern oceans. As stated in the scriptures: The rivers Ganga, Sindhu, Pakshu, and Sita, with garlands of white waves, flow and are clear water, emanating from the four surrounding directions. The Ganga flows eastward into the ocean, the Sindhu flows southward into the ocean, the Pakshu also flows westward into the ocean, and the Sita flows northward into the ocean. These four supreme rivers are exceedingly good and flow separately, each carrying five hundred tributaries, and the streams of water flow into the great ocean. The commentary states: It is difficult for those without miraculous powers to traverse there. Also, in the root text of the Vinaya: Yakshas dwell fiercely and unpleasantly, the place is delightful, adorned with various flowers and trees. From there, the four rivers that flow into the poisonous ocean flow in four directions: Ganga, Sindhu, as well as Paksha and Sita. Only those who have obtained miraculous powers can reach there; others cannot traverse it. There, the Thubpa (Buddha) resides with the Sangha. The Phalchen states that these four rivers flow sequentially from the mouths of rock elephants, etc., of silver, gold, beryl, and diamond colors in the four directions, about one yojana, sequentially carrying sand of silver, gold, beryl, and diamond, and staying on those sands, circling Lake Manasarovar seven times clockwise, and then flowing into the oceans of the four directions. The islands between the clockwise circles are also adorned with various divine flowers, and the ground of Lake Manasarovar is also covered with precious gravel.

It is adorned with various jewels, and it is said that its surface is also like being built with various jewels. Therefore, it is the source of all the rivers of Jambudvipa, and all the flowers, fruits, medicines, and forests, etc., and all the jewels of the ocean also come from it. In the verses of the Compendium, it says: How many rivers flow in this Jambudvipa, which can grow flowers, fruits, medicines, and forests, all rely on the dragon king and dragon lord who live in Anavatapta (Sanskrit: Anavatapta, meaning "not hot"). This is the power and glory of the dragon king. For example, if there were no dragon lord of Anavatapta, (how could there be rivers flowing in Jambudvipa? Without rivers, there would be no flowers and fruits. There would also be no many precious shapes in the ocean.) That is why. (On the right side of that lake, when the world was formed, it was formed from the essence of the essence of matter, gathered by the wind, and is one of the four great trees.) On the shore of that lake, there is a tree called the Jambudvipa tree, which bears sweet fruits as big as pottery jars, which fall into the water when ripe, and make the sound of Jambudvipa. The dragon kings will store and transform them to eat. The fruits that have not been eaten and fall into the water, when they meet the water of Anavatapta, will turn into the gold of the Jambudvipa River. Or because of this tree, or because of the fruit of this tree, this continent is called Jambudvipa. (It is said to be near the snow mountain.) From the north of the mountain that emits wonderful fragrance, after passing twenty yojanas, there is a golden rock bird's nest called the non-heavenly face, each side of which is fifty yojanas, and the circumference is two hundred yojanas, rising four and a half yojanas upwards, with eight thousand rock caves (bird's nests). (In the width of the road, it is considered to be twenty and a half yojanas.) To the north of that rock, after passing twenty yojanas, there is a strong tree called the Sala Tree King, surrounded by seven layers of Sala trees. The root of the Sala Tree King extends forty bows downwards, the Sala tree (the surroundings are golden) The trunk is surrounded by seven layers of trees, and the root of the first layer has thirteen
