Offerings were made to the venerable uncles and nephews, as well as to the monks and Geshes (dge bshes, spiritual friends). In front of the stupas of the deceased former Khenpos (mkhan po, preceptors) and Acharyas (slob dpon, teachers), butter lamps were offered and seasonal ceremonies were performed. Tea, tin, large horses, and other items were offered to purchase land for the foundation of the monastery, and gold, white sandalwood, and Terminalia chebula were distributed among the Sangha. This was done to remember the kindness of the former Lamas and Acharyas, and to fulfill the devotion to the monastery. Afterwards, I consulted with Situ Gelongpa (si tu dge slong pa) and led skilled goldsmiths to Lhasa to gild the Jowo (jo bo, the most revered image of Buddha Shakyamuni) statue, offering butter lamps. Offerings were made to many monks, mainly from the two divisions of the Jowo Temple. Offerings of tea, mules, and other items were made for the ceremonies of King Songtsen Gampo (srong btsan) and the construction of the dam. Prayers and aspirations were made with sincere devotion through prostrations and circumambulations, fulfilling all wishes. During the two months or so there, I established Dharma connections with the Sangha and people of Lhasa, as well as others who came from various directions thinking of me, according to their wishes. In particular, Dharma seats were set up in the Jokhang (gtsug lag khang, main temple) and Ramoche (ra mo che, another important temple), and profound instructions were given to about seven hundred people. At that time, all the merchants of Gyal Lhakhangpa (rgyal lha khang pa) and those who came to request the Kalachakra empowerment were empowered. I was invited to Sangpu Ne'uthog (gsang phu ne'u thog) Monastery, and greeted from afar by a yellow procession. A seat was prepared on the throne of Ngok Lotsawa Chenpo (rngog lo tsA ba chen po, the great translator Ngok), and offerings were made. The abbots of Upper and Lower Ling, Yonten Gyatso (yon tan rgya mtsho) and Lama Yeshe (ye shes), and about a thousand monks were taught about Bodhicitta, and we also offered much tea. During this time, at the invitation of Sangda (bsang mda) and Lingpon Dawa (gling dbon zla ba), I received the empowerments of Hayagriva (rta mgrin) and Tara (sgrol ma), as well as the subsequent permission of Vaishravana (rnam sras). Khenchen Rinchen Tsul (mkhan chen rin tshul ba), the great disciple of Chöje Rinpoche Kunkhyenpa (chos rje rin po che kun mkhyen pa), Lama Menchukapa (bla ma sman chu kha pa), Lama Sherin (bla ma shes rin), and others made excellent offerings and met with me, and I also requested various teachings. Afterwards, I went to Tsal. During the ceremonies and flower offerings of Lama Zhang (bla ma zhang), much tea was also prepared for the Sangha, and a horse was offered. After that, Extensive commentaries on the tantras were explained to many Dharma-seeking friends, and empowerments were granted. In particular, the profound instructions were given about three times, with about five hundred people receiving the instructions. Great contributions were made to the teaching and practice of the glorious Kalachakra. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At that time, people from Gong-dkar outside of Dzong came to Tsang, and officials from the entire government offered tea. They made a good agreement not to disturb the upper and lower retreats, and also submitted a document to the superiors promising to abide by it. The superiors were also greeted by Yar-ro's Dronchen. Through empowerment, oral instructions, and the generation of Bodhicitta, the disciples of Yar-ro were also fulfilled as desired. After arriving at Jonang, in the upper and lower retreats and Ngam-ring's Khar-chung, in order to perfect the two accumulations, the offerings of the faithful were used for fire pujas and offering ceremonies. In addition, mainly in the major monasteries, tea offerings and dedications were made in the monasteries of the Lhasa government, along with offerings. In particular, the temple built by Se-ston Kun-rig was renovated, and pure Buddha-fields were built, centered on the Jo-bo statue, the main object of the Three Jewels. In short, until the age of eighty-one, he spent day and night engaging in activities of hearing, thinking, teaching, and practicing. From the first month of the Fire Tiger year, he felt unwell. Although great efforts were made in prayers, treatments, and care, due to his physical condition, he could not recover and instead worsened. Then, Pakokpa of Dechen Ladrang said, 'The old monk's sickroom and place of death is the solitary Khar-chung, I will go there.' Lama Cho and the attendant escorted him on horseback. He instructed, 'Go and welcome Lama Dorje Kyabpa.' Then he went to Dule. He stayed one night in Ne-rings, and in a dream, he said, 'Lama Dorje Kyabpa and Lama Cho should sleep beside me.' The next morning, when asked about his health, he said, 'If I have not received your foot empowerment, then please pray that I may be your retinue in all my future lives, please accept me with compassion.' He said, 'That is right, you should also put aside worldly affairs and strive to benefit the Dharma and sentient beings, especially to strive in practice. Even if I die, I have no other will.' These were his last words. This last testament, like the essence of his heart, Was poured into the gates of my ears, Piercing my heart like a sharp sword. This testament is heavier than a mountain, Thinking of this, I am overwhelmed with sorrow. You are the benefactor who has always cared for me, There are many gurus who protect me with the Dharma, But the Dharma Lord whose kindness is unparalleled, You cared for me with extraordinary compassion, Guiding me well with Dharma and material support, Life after life... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
