During those times, there was no instance where wisdom did not arise, and the blessings were exceedingly great. Furthermore, I received the Hayagriva practices for dispelling diseases from the Röngtönpa lineage, the 'Empowerment of the Dharma Teachings,' the 'Great Seal of Co-emergent Union,' the Chö practice, 'Opening the Door to the Sky,' the 'Precious Garland,' and Machik Lapdrön's 'Cutting Through Delusion.' At the age of twenty-seven, I came to Tsang, and in Takdruka, I met the assembly of Khenchen Rinpoche Sönam Drakpa, and also encountered the great scholar Könchok Zangpo, who was among the assembly. I rested and stayed among the assembly for a few days. Then, as I was about to leave, the great scholar Könzangba said, 'It would be good for you to go to the Drakram area, as I have Dharma connections with Khenchen Chögyal Pal and Lama Künkhyen Sengé Bum in Drakram, and their minds are very pure. It would be good to meet them and also to meet the faithful and respectful disciples.' So our master and disciple went together to Drakram, first paying our respects and meeting them. We stayed for about a month. Then, having heard the fame of the Dharma Lord Künkhyen Chenpo, and also hearing that a wondrous great Kumbum was being built, I said to Khenchenpa and the great scholar, 'I would like to go to Jonang.' So I went to Jonang, circumambulated the Kumbum, and met the Dharma Lord, giving rise to extraordinary devotion. I offered many prostrations and presented symbolic gifts. I said, 'We have heard immeasurable fame of your presence and have come to see the Kumbum, so please accept us with great kindness.' The Dharma Lord asked, 'What kind of scholar are you? I am very happy that you have come here.' I replied, 'We are from the Ngari region and have come to Ü-Tsang to study Pramana (valid cognition), and our studies have progressed well.' The Dharma Lord said, 'Then stay in the monastery for a few days, and we can have various Dharma discussions.' He was very concerned about me. I said, 'I would like to do that.' So we had many Dharma discussions, especially about the Dharma of the Kalachakra, and based on that, I said, 'I would also like to practice the Kalachakra.' He said, 'Practicing the Kalachakra...' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
