Then, after reciting their respective names, offer the offerings and cushions, as well as various enjoyments and musical instruments. After the name mantra, recite "Namaḥ Sarva Tathāgata Bhyo (藏文:ན་མཿསརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་བྷྱོ་,梵文天城体:नमः सर्व तथागत भ्यो,梵文罗马拟音:namaḥ sarva tathāgata bhyo,汉语字面意思:Homage to all Tathagatas)" three times to offer the torma, the meaning of the mantra has already been explained above. Then comes the entrusting of activities: Since the types of demons are countless, it is impossible to recite their names one by one, so the activities are entrusted by describing the places. Generally, the word "འབྱུང་པོ་ (bhūta)" is said to have seven meanings, but here it refers to the meaning of "non-human." Which འབྱུང་པོ་ (bhūta,梵文:भूत,梵文罗马拟音:bhūta,汉语字面意思:भूत) non-human demon types, which dwell on the top of Mount Meru, and in the joyous gardens north of Delightful to See, and in the abodes of the gods such as the Assembly Place of the Gods of Good Dharma, and in the mountains of the east and west, and in the palaces of the sun and moon, and in the twelve constellations such as the bow constellation, and in all the mountains such as the seven golden mountains, which especially dwell on the precious jewel island, and in the great rivers such as the Ganges and the Vakṣu, and in the confluences of rivers, the oceans where waters gather, and in the small lakes, and in the ponds, and in the puddles, and on the water's edge, that is, the wells, and the springs, and in the places with droplets, that is, the hot springs, which dwell in the cool waters that can dispel conch shells, and in the villages where people dwell, and in the cattle pens where livestock dwell, and in the empty deserted cities, and the empty houses, and the temples, and the great monasteries, and the dilapidated stupa places, and the places of ascetics, and the elephant enclosures, and in the houses of the king's treasury, which dwell at the three-way intersections of roads, and the four-way intersections where four paths meet, and the great roads that are traversed by vehicles with four wheels, and the solitary trees that are not overshadowed by other trees, and the great cemeteries, and the great forests, and the places of wild animals such as lions, bears, and tigers, and in the desolate great plains that are frighteningly solitary, which dwell on the beautiful and delightful supreme islands, and in the cemeteries of Mount Meru, which is called Sumeru, all of these have become very happy and satisfied, with garlands of flowers, etc.

I respectfully offer incense, praises, tormas, and butter lamps. Please drink, partake, and accept these well, and may the fruits of my practice be accomplished. This is the third part, about summoning obstacles: If the generation stage of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ།) has not been done before, then transform into it here in an instant and make the gesture of subjugation. Recite "The truth of the Buddhas" etc., and then whatever kind of obstacle you want to summon, may they come here in an instant, immediately, in a moment. By reciting "Oṃ Ṭakki Hūṃ Jaḥ (ༀ་ཊཀྐི་ཧཱུཾ་ཛཿ)", think of summoning them to the front. Ṭakki (ཊཀྐི་) is desire, it is part of the name of subjugation. Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ།) is its seed syllable. Jaḥ (ཛཿ) is the mantra for summoning. The two "Guṃ (གུང་)" in "Oṃ Guṃ Kari Guṃ Kari Svāhā (ༀ་གུང་ཀ་རི་གུང་ཀ་རི་སྭཱཧཱ་)" are the name or seed syllable of a rākṣasa. "Kara (ཀ་ར་)" means the doer. "Pici ni Pici ni (པི་ཙི་ནི་པི་ཙི་ནི་)" means gentle, gentle, and is said to be the name of a flesh-eater. "Guṃ Guṃ (གུང་གུང་)" is the general name for spirits and obstacles. "Sa Pāri Vāra (ས་པཱ་རི་ཝ་ར་)" etc. have been explained before. Offer the torma with offerings, foot bath, enjoyments, music, and mantras, the meaning is as before. Then entrust the activity and request them to depart. This text comes from many Indian texts, meaning: Whatever kind of obstacle, whether it is a spirit that wanders at night, a flesh-eater, a rākṣasa, a raw flesh-eater, and other various kinds of sentient being obstacles, or those who dwell in large trees, small trees, etc., for them, the torma is: food containing meat, alcohol, radishes, etc., and offerings containing many rice and fruit, with this may their minds be satisfied. Pacify harmful malicious thoughts, and from today onwards, generate the intention to benefit us. Any man who adorns his body with ornaments, uses his mind to practice Dharma, whose mind is tamed, who restrains himself from opposing sides, practices celibacy, and abandons the punishment of harming all beings, whether ordained or not, is truly a monk and a practitioner, and also an excellent Brahmin. Now, one should not with weapons against a person who possesses such a body of flesh and bones.

There is no fear or dread, everyone avoids using weapons to harm life. Therefore, harmful ones, cherish your own bodies and lives, and follow the example of avoiding all harm. Do not harm the bodies and lives of other sentient beings. Om, the great one, etc. Expel the disease that manifestly harms the bodies of great or small beings among the kinds of sentient beings by those who create obstacles. Those ghosts, return to your own abodes! It is sufficient to just send them away, but to elaborate a little, like this, by the power of my offering and serving you in a way that I am unable to, may you abide in the vow of not harming and accomplishing benefit. From now on, please fulfill our desired wishes! Constantly abide in such a vow, and here, eliminate the illness of so-and-so benefactor, etc. Now, ghosts and obstructors, return to your own abodes! Third, first the obstacles depart: Sarva Vighnam Gaccha All obstacles, go!), meaning all obstacles are gone. Visualize that the obstacles have returned to their own abodes. Then recite the mantra, offer the offerings, and say "Gaccha." Visualize that the Eight Classes have returned to their own abodes. Then recite the mantras of their respective names, offer the offerings, and say "Gaccha," visualizing that the Direction Guardians and their retinues have returned to their own abodes. Then, recite "Nama Samanta," etc., three times, and give the torma to the pretas. If following the order of invitation, the Direction Guardians should be sent away first, but here the obstacles are sent away first because it is easier to proceed after offering the torma, and also because the obstacles have a stronger intention to harm, so they are sent away first, then the ghosts, and finally the Direction Guardians. Although obstacles are a type of ghost, it seems that some with stronger malicious intentions are distinguished separately. The order of arrangement is to visualize the Direction Guardians on the inside, and the other two successively on the outside. If visualizing above and below, then the Direction Guardians must be visualized above. It is necessary to distinguish based on whether or not a mandala practice is being performed. Finally, the great mandala, etc.
