I prostrate to all Bodhisattvas! This is composed by the translator and is easy to understand. Third, the way to make aspirations. In the Sutra of the Heap of Jewels, from "Ananda, how..." to "Thus make aspirations," as mentioned before. Fourth, explaining the meaning of the scriptures separately, divided into two parts: First, performing the seven-branch practice to accumulate merit; second, making aspirations to transform it into the cause of great Bodhi. The first part is: In the scriptures explaining the seven-branch practice, although the order is not as clearly shown as in the Samantabhadra's Prayer, the five branches of prostration, confession of sins, rejoicing, turning the wheel of Dharma, and requesting to remain are clearly shown. Offering is: "Whatever offerings are made to the Buddhas." Only this, and the way of offering is not explicitly stated. Dedication also does not explicitly appear as "dedication," but all the aspiration prayers belong to dedication. Both of these are through the two lines of the verse: "Whatever merit I have accumulated through the three means, may it be the seed of my omniscience, may I have inexhaustible Bodhi!" The first two lines show the merit of the three doors of offering, and the latter two lines dedicate the merit as the seed of omniscience, maturing into the cause of great Bodhi. Thus, the first of the seven branches, prostration, is divided into two: prostrating to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Hearers, Solitary Realizers, etc., and prostrating to the mind of Bodhi. The first is: one verse starting with "All Buddhas." First is: prostration! To where to prostrate? To all Buddhas. Buddhas have three bodies: Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya. Dharmakaya is also divided into two: Wisdom Dharmakaya and Cessation Dharmakaya. Nirmanakaya, in summary, has Supreme Nirmanakaya and other Nirmanakayas. If the differences between these are explained in detail, it may be cumbersome, so it is omitted. The meaning of the word Buddha is: its Sanskrit is Buddha, and in etymology, "Buddha" means to understand or realize. As glorious Chandrakirti said in the Madhyamakavatara: "As that which is increased is called Buddha, because it truly understands the nature of Dharma." It means to truly understand or realize and directly perceive the suchness of emptiness of all phenomena.

It is said that one is called a Buddha by means of becoming (a Buddha), and again, it is said: Because of awakening from the sleep of ignorance, and also because of increasing wisdom towards what is to be known, the Buddhas awaken and become Buddhas, just like a person awakening from sleep. Thus, two ways are explained. The way of prostration is as it appears in the Bhadracaryāpraṇidhānarāja, prostrating with great joy through the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Moreover, it is not just prostrating to one Buddha, but prostrating with immeasurable Buddhas as the object. Not only to the Buddhas, but also to the ṛṣis, the Bodhisattvas who possess the divine eye, that is, the eye of wisdom. Furthermore, not only to them, but also it says, "I prostrate to the Śrāvakas." And the Pratyekabuddhas are also included by way of implicit prostration. Now, why is it that the Śrāvakas are explicitly mentioned here, but the Pratyekabuddhas are not explicitly mentioned? It is because the Śrāvakas are the main and numerous members of the Teacher's retinue, while the Pratyekabuddhas do not often appear in the Teacher's retinue and are few. The meaning of the term ṛṣi is explained as straightening the mind in an upright manner and accomplishing the path in an upright manner. The Sanskrit word for ṛṣi, riṣi, means wealth, healing, and taming, and it also refers to holding a certain attire. According to the former, it means possessing the wealth of power and healing and taming diseases and suffering, etc. According to the latter, it means speaking truthfully and thinking truthfully, and holding the attire of a renunciate and a Brahmin. Here, a Bodhisattva possessing the divine eye is referred to as an ṛṣi. Generally, there are two types of ṛṣis, internal and external, and in particular, many divine ṛṣis are mentioned. As it is said, "Like the Buddha, the great ṛṣi." As such, the Buddhas, the Bhagavantas, must also be established as great ṛṣis. In the context of "the ṛṣi falling into the deer park," the Pratyekabuddha is spoken of as an ṛṣi, and some say that ṛṣi and Śākyamuni are synonymous, therefore, all the noble Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas can be established as ṛṣis. Here, the Bodhisattva possessing the divine eye is explicitly mentioned because the ṛṣis possessing the divine eye, who are the accomplisher of truthful words, are said to be suitable as witnesses for making aspirations, in accordance with "May it be auspicious in the beginning, middle, and end, may the truthful words be accomplished by the power of the ṛṣis." The divine eye or
