Because it is established by reasoning that pervasiveness and the root of afflictions such as attachment, namely the root of true clinging, are unstable, so impurities can be removed by antidotes, etc. Ultimately, it does not contradict the sutras that teach the establishment of the three vehicles, because it is explained as provisional through the three aspects of intention, necessity, and harm to reality. Intention refers to the temporary three vehicles. That intention is for the sake of taming those to be tamed. Harm is because it is harmed by previous scriptures and reasoning. Third, examining whether samsara has an end or not. Raising a doubt and its answer. First, some say: Samsara is endless, because samsara has no beginning and no end. There is no beginning, because if there were, there would be sentient beings that had never appeared before, and sentient beings would arise without a cause. There is no later end, because one cannot determine that at this time there are no sentient beings at all. If it were possible, then the sentient beings to be benefited by the later Buddhas would be few or non-existent. There is also no end to sentient beings, because as much as there is space, that much is pervaded by sentient beings. As it is said: "However far space extends, so too does the extent of all beings." Therefore. Second, the answer: Because it is established by scripture and reasoning that all sentient beings attain Buddhahood, it is established that samsara has an end. Because when all sentient beings attain Buddhahood, they will have completely abandoned samsara, it is established that samsara has a later end. Moreover, with the wisdom that realizes selflessness, samsara is also abandoned by refuting the object of attachment of self-grasping, which is the root of samsara. It is not contradictory that samsara has no beginning but has a later end, for example, seeds and so on have no beginning, but when burned by fire and so on, a later end is seen. Sakya Pandita said: "Whether seeds have a beginning or not, when burned by fire, a later end is seen. Likewise, although samsara is without beginning, when selflessness is seen, a later end is seen." Therefore. However, there is also a view that samsara having a later end does not necessarily mean that samsara has an end. Fourth, Hearer and Solitary Realizer Arhats.

When entering the Mahayana path, from which path does one enter? Because one must enter from the Mahayana path of accumulation itself. At that time, one must generate the mind of enlightenment (bodhicitta). During the stage of accumulation and junction, one must accumulate the merit of the first countless eon. During the stage of the path of seeing, one must abandon the conceptual obscurations of knowledge, and so on. If Hearers and Solitary Realizers (Pratyekabuddhas) who are Arhats enter the Mahayana path of accumulation, are those on the path of accumulation considered to be on the path of accumulation or not? Some say that they are Mahayana path of accumulation practitioners, but not on the path of accumulation; they are Mahayana ordinary beings, but not ordinary beings. Although they are not ordinary beings, they should be acknowledged as Mahayana ordinary beings and on the path of accumulation. If that were the case, then when they enter the Mahayana path of seeing, they would not be considered on the path of seeing; and when they enter the Mahayana path of meditation, they would not be considered on the path of meditation, which would be a fault. Such a practitioner on the path of accumulation, whether they are a Mahayana Arya or a Hinayana Arya, is still an Arya, because they are an Arya possessing the three aggregates. Whether they are a Mahayana or Hinayana Arhat, they are still an Arhat, because they are individuals who have abandoned afflictions. They are not Mahayana Arhats, because they are not Buddhas who are Aryas. They are not Hinayana Arhats, because they are Mahayanists. Generating the mind of enlightenment is actually engaging in the activity of benefiting beings for as long as samsara exists, as mentioned in the sections on "afflictions" and so on. Some say that the afflictions spoken of here are imputed afflictions, because the eight aspects such as insatiability in fully seeking the accumulation of merit are merely labeled with the name of afflictions. However, this is not reasonable, because the afflictions taught in this context are afflictions by their own nature. Why? Because Bodhisattvas use these afflictions as something closely needed for accomplishing the benefit of others. Why? Because noble Bodhisattvas take birth in the desire realm as universal monarchs, giving birth to a thousand sons and so on, transforming the desire for desirable things into a limb for accomplishing the benefit of others. Having taken birth in the form realm, they transform the desire for form into a limb for accomplishing the benefit of others by making others happy through the desire for form. Therefore, the desire for desire and form
