In Lumbini Garden, you were born from your mother's right side, Brahma and Indra offered you worship, Together with the unparalleled artistic consorts, You ruled the kingdom, I prostrate to you. Renouncing the perfect worldly wealth, ascending into the sky, Taking ordination in front of the pure stupa, After enduring six years of asceticism, you arrived under the Bodhi tree, I prostrate to you. With the power of loving-kindness, you destroyed the armies of Mara, Attaining supreme enlightenment, in Varanasi and other places, Turning the wheel of Dharma three times, causing beings to ripen and be liberated, I prostrate to you. Then, when the actual beings to be tamed were complete, Showing the disappearance of the form body, For the benefit of future beings to be tamed, transforming the name of relics, Universally, I prostrate to you. Protector, although you have entered the realm of Dharma in this world, Yet in immeasurable realms, with countless playful forms, Constantly focusing on accomplishing the benefit of others, You have become the unparalleled holy refuge. Your body is like a majestic golden mountain, Your speech is like the melodious Brahma's voice, Your mind is like the vast, boundless sky, Your activity is like a wish-fulfilling jewel vase, spontaneously accomplishing. Knowing what is appropriate and inappropriate, etc., Perfecting the extraordinary ten powers, Not fearing the debates of others, Attaining the supreme wisdom of the four fearlessnesses. Having no obstruction in the meaning of what is to be said and what can be said, As well as the four analytical understandings, And the eighteen unshared qualities, which are not common to other noble ones, are also completely possessed. Thus, from the ocean of the deeds of the Able One, With the tip of the auspicious kusha grass of faith, A drop of cool nectar taken, May it be dedicated to pacifying the suffering and heat of this world's beings. Majestic like a golden mountain, Whose form is adorned with the splendor of clear and complete marks and signs, With a noble posture seated upon a precious throne, I prostrate to the second Buddha, Maitreya! In a surrounding circle with a span of one yojana, Near the king of Naga trees, spanning six bow-lengths, You will attain the unsurpassed great enlightenment, To the second Buddha, Maitreya, I prostrate! Wherever the perfect Buddha attains supreme enlightenment, The Buddha's form is eighty cubits in height and twenty in width, The mandala of his face is half of that, To the Lord Maitreya, I prostrate! When the Thubpa (Shakyamuni Buddha) examined his retinue, He did not see another son equal to you, Therefore, you were appointed as his supreme regent, To Maitreya, I prostrate! When you attain the tenth Bhumi, the Cloud of Dharma, At that time, the Buddhas of the ten directions, together with their sons, Showed immeasurable miracles and bestowed empowerment, To Maitreya, I prostrate!
