Practice as it is written. Fifth, there are two: The first is the four, such as meditative concentration and mind. Meditative concentration with single-pointed focus is like a king who can freely control his own mind as he wishes. If the mind is placed on the object of focus, it remains unshaken like the king of mountains, without agitation of sinking or excitement. If that placement is released, it also enters into virtuous objects of focus, that is, it enters into all objects. It draws the great bliss of pliancy, which makes one's body and mind usable for virtuous purposes. The way to draw the special bliss of pliancy of body and mind through the power of single-pointed focus on the object of focus should be learned from Je's Lamrim. The second is the method of meditation: Having known that, etc. Having understood that method, one should train as the yogis of the past subdued the enemy of distraction and constantly cultivated single-pointed samadhi. This is mainly done in terms of cultivating calm abiding, and like Je Tsongkhapa, etc., as before. Sixth, there are three: the method of cultivating wisdom, the method of combining calm abiding and insight, and the method of cultivating both meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment with limbs. The first has two: the characteristics or benefits, and the method of cultivation. The first is: The very nature of profound wisdom, etc., are four. Although there are three kinds of wisdom, such as the wisdom that understands what is as it is, here the main emphasis is on the first. The wisdom that realizes the profound meaning is like an eye that sees the profound reality of all phenomena, and it becomes the path that uproots the ignorance that is the root of samsara. It is a great treasure of qualities praised in all the Buddha's scriptures, such as the Mother Sutra, and it is also known as the supreme lamp that dispels the darkness of ignorance. The second is: Having known that, etc. Having understood that method, the wise who desire liberation should generate that path in their own minds with many efforts. The nature and distinctions of each of the six perfections mentioned above in detail should be learned from the Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path, etc., as it is feared to be too much here. I have already explained the essential meaning in the Red Exposition of the Stages of the Path. The second has two: the need to cultivate the union of calm abiding and insight, and the actual method of cultivation.

Firstly, there are eight aspects such as single-pointed meditation. Merely meditating with single-pointed focus on an object does not seem to have the power to cut off ignorance, the root of samsara, from its very foundation. However, even with the wisdom of hearing and thinking that is separate from the path of calm abiding, which is single-pointed focus on an object, no matter how much one analyzes the meaning of emptiness and so on, the afflictions will not be eradicated from their root. Therefore, the holy ones of the past, having placed the wisdom that thoroughly understands the meaning of suchness as it is, upon the horse of calm abiding that is unshaken by the thoughts of sinking or excitement towards suchness, with the sharp sword of Madhyamaka reasoning that is free from the extremes of permanence and annihilation, they destroy all objects of clinging to reality, as if clinging to true existence, just as one clings to the target of clinging to the extremes of permanence and annihilation as truly established. With the vast wisdom that properly examines the meaning of correct reasoning, they expand the intelligence that realizes suchness.

Crossing the ocean of the Bodhisattva conduct through the union of both, is praised by the Buddhas and their sons. Meditating on illusion-like appearances in the post-meditation period, although not the actual meditation on emptiness, is in accordance with it, and is therefore merely labeled as such. Having realized as it is said, the path of combining skillful means and wisdom is never satisfied, and is the way of the fortunate ones. Second, how to train in the uncommon Mantrayana vehicle: Thus, the Great Vehicle of cause and effect, etc., are six. As previously explained, the way to travel the path is that it is the common path necessary for both the cause, the Paramita Vehicle, and the result, the Great Vehicle of the Mantra Vehicle. Having generated it in one's own mindstream as it is, then relying on the Vajra Acharya, the guide who is skilled in mantras, entering the great ocean of the Tantra class, and relying on the person who possesses the complete instructions of the essential points of both Sutra and Tantra paths, makes this leisure and endowment body meaningful. Jetsun, etc., as before. Third, the conclusion: One's own mind, etc., are six. For the sake of familiarizing one's own mind, and also for the benefit of other fortunate seekers of Dharma, the complete path that pleases the Buddhas is summarized, and with the virtue of speaking in easy-to-understand language, may not just a part, but all beings be inseparable from this pure and excellent path. Thus, I make aspirations. Jetsun Lama, etc., or the yogi, I also made such aspirations. You who desire liberation should also make such aspirations. Whatever is done like this, the meaning is easy to understand. After this, there is one verse such as "The Teacher's unsurpassed teachings," and one verse such as "My Lama, Lobsang Drakpa," and one verse such as "At first, seek vast learning," for a total of three verses that appear, which are added by others to fill in the recitation, and are not the actual end of this text, so they are not written. Thus, this summary of the practice of the stages of the path to enlightenment, summarized as notes, was made by the greatly learned monk, the renunciate Lobsang Drakpa Pal at Drak Riwo Che Geden.
