A Concise Explanation of the Words of the Lamrim Condensed Meaning, A Clear Summary. A Concise Explanation of the Words of the Lamrim Condensed Meaning, A Clear Summary. This is the treatise called "A Concise Explanation of the Words of the Lamrim Condensed Meaning, A Clear Summary." Namo Sumati Kirtiye! By the force of swiftly arising intention, Beneficial activities for others shine as the glory of beings. You are the sole friend of all fortunate lotuses, I prostrate to the Sun of the Able One's eloquence. With vast wisdom that is exceedingly difficult for others to fathom, With sharp intellect that excellently explains profound meanings, Possessing the light of fame with excellent virtuous deeds, I respectfully prostrate to the feet of the venerable Lama. The ultimate point of his excellent teachings Is what is known as the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment, Gathering all its key points into one, I will clarify the meaning of the Lamrim Condensed. Here, the practice song composed by our Lama, the great Dharma King Tsongkhapa, or the meaning of the Lamrim Condensed, is the Dharma to be explained. This has three parts: preliminaries such as offerings and praises; the main part, the meaning of the text; and the conclusion, the distinctions of the explanation. The first part has two: offering praises, and identifying the subject to be explained. The first part also has two: first, in some places there appears "Namo Guru Manjughosaya" (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思:Homage to the Guru Manjughosa), which is easy to understand. The second part has five, the first of which is prostration to the Able One: "The body created by a myriad of perfect virtues and goodness," and so on, four lines. Regarding this, if we consider the three qualities of knowledge, love, and power, or the general qualities of abandonment and realization, and specifically the qualities of the body, that which is distinguished by numerous qualities such as marks and signs, what is the cause from which it arises? It is created by a myriad of perfect virtues and goodness, gathered from merit and wisdom, not just a little of each, but created by countless, that is, brought forth. Here, "countless" means many, not just a numerical countless. How many causes are needed for each mark and sign? It is clear in the Precious Garland. If we consider each individual cause, it is also in the Mother Sutra and the Ornament for Clear Realization. Regarding the qualities of speech, it is fine to consider it from the perspective of its essence, but if we consider it from the perspective of its result, the qualities of the speech of the Thus-Gone One have a function, the number is im

In order to fulfill the temporary and ultimate wishes of limitless sentient beings. The way to fulfill wishes is: by teaching the Dharma, placing them in higher realms and definite goodness, and cutting off their doubts in the present and future. The Buddha's mind has the distinction of qualities, from the perspective of its essence, because he directly sees all knowable things, both as they are and as they appear. How should one prostrate to the master of the Shakya clan, Shakyamuni, who possesses such qualities of body, speech, and mind? By prostrating with the head, the most excellent of limbs, that is, paying homage. The second is, "Unequaled Teacher He," and so on, four lines. To whom do I prostrate? I prostrate to the Dharma sons of the unequaled Teacher, who are the most excellent among the Bodhisattvas, who bear the burden of all the deeds of body, speech, and mind of that Buddha, and who, not only in this world but also in countless Buddha lands, freely dance with the dance of countless emanations such as Bodhisattvas, namely Maitreya and Manjushri. The way they bear the burden of deeds is: Maitreya and Manjushri, holding and propagating the common and special Dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha, especially the lineages of the vast conduct and the profound view. The third is, "Extremely Difficult to Conceive," and so on, four lines. To whom do I prostrate? I prostrate to the feet of the ones who are renowned in the three realms—below the earth, on the earth, and above the earth—named Protector Nagarjuna and Aryadeva, who became the ornaments of Jambudvipa by explaining the meaning of the extremely difficult to conceive three versions of the Mother of the Buddhas, the long, medium, and short, as they are. By whom do I prostrate? By me, the glorious Losang Drakpa. The fourth is, "From the Two Great Chariots," and so on, four lines. I pay homage. To whom do I pay homage? I pay homage to the glorious Dipamkara, the holder of the treasury of instructions that perfectly and completely gathers the essential points of the profound view and the vast conduct path, which are well transmitted from the two great chariots, Nagarjuna and Asanga. That is, the great Lord Atisha, after relying on the Guru Serlingpa, received the lineage transmitted from Maitreya and Asanga.
