The earth is 50,000 yojanas, and each one is 50,000 yojanas higher than the one below. All four are round, and the lower one is wider than the upper one, so the end of the wind wheel is 120,000, the end of the fire wheel is 900,000, the end of the water wheel is 600,000, and the end of the earth wheel is 300,000. In the center of the earth is Mount Sumeru, which is 100,000 yojanas high. From the diameter of Mount Sumeru to the edge of its base, each direction is 8,000 yojanas. Then the circumference of Mount Sumeru is 1,000 yojanas. Above the Cool Mountain, the width of Mount Sumeru is 50,000. From the edge of the Cool Mountain to the foot of Mount Sumeru, there are 16,000 yojanas, which are equally divided into 18 parts, each with six continents, six seas, and six mountains alternating. From Cool Mountain, 13,500 yojanas are discarded to the south, and 13,500 yojanas are discarded to the north from the edge of the water wheel. In the center, there is a round sky with an area of 50,000 yojanas, which is the path for the stars to travel. That is, the part between the diameters of Mount Sumeru is equally divided into three parts, with two parts on each side and one part in each corner, for a total of twelve segments. Each side is also divided into three segments, also twelve segments. It is divided into two sides and three sides. This three-sided one is called a single side, because the center is the side, and the other two are in the corners, so it is not a double corner. The double side is the waxing moon, and the single side is the waning moon. Each of the twelve constellations has six small segments in which the sun travels north and south. These twelve segments are made into twelve constellations, and each constellation is divided into thirty degrees, which is the number of days in each constellation month. Although the sun runs clockwise with the wind, these constellations run counterclockwise on their own. That is, the ground area of each star is four steps, two stars and one quarter of a star's foot, for a total of nine steps, which is the range of each constellation. Each step is fifteen local hours, and each constellation has one hundred and thirty-five local hours, which is the meaning of the arrow and bow moon. The stars in each constellation are: Jyeshtha.

From then on, take a quarter of the lower half. Take three-quarters of the lower half, midnight is Capricorn. Starting from half of Capricorn, take three-quarters of the upper half is Aquarius. Take one-third of the upper half, Pisces is completed. Starting from Revati, take a quarter of Krittika is Aries. Take half of Rohini is Taurus, the middle third from Orion to Gemini. Cancer is completed, Cancer, take a quarter of Mula is Leo. Take half of Chitra is Virgo, take three-quarters of Anuradha is Libra. Take a quarter of Anuradha, Antares is completed is Scorpio. So it is said. The measure of the sun revolving completely around those houses counterclockwise at its own speed is considered a zodiac year. In short, the twelve houses are divided into thirty parts, each part is a zodiac day, and thirty parts add up to a zodiac month. Twelve zodiac months are a zodiac year, the measure is as described above. The essence of day and night is from seeing the lines on the hand at dawn to the next day's dawn. The measure is determined to be sixty time periods. The lunar day is also considered to be the duration of the moon's waxing and waning. The waxing moon has fifteen increasing parts, and the waning moon has fifteen decreasing parts. The time to complete each part is a lunar day. The measure is as described, such as fifty-nine time periods. The three, planets, sun, and moon, have fast and slow speeds. The sun is slower than the planets by four out of sixty parts of a constellation each day. The moon is slower than the planets by one constellation each day. There is a reason why the sun becomes longer and shorter in summer and winter. During the spring and autumn equinoxes, the sun rises from the central line of eastern Jambudvipa and sets from the central line of western Godaniya. When the summer sun is at its longest, the sun rises higher, rising from a height of eighty-six thousand yojanas from the ground. From the central line of eastern Jambudvipa to the east, it rises two and a half time periods earlier in time, and sets equally on the central line of western Godaniya. Because it rises late and sets early. This also happens within a single day. In whichever continent the summer sun is long, it is high, and where the winter sun is short, it is low, and where day and night are equal, it runs in between. No matter in which continent and which place, during the equinoxes, day and night each have thirty time periods.
