If an unblessed robe, or one that is blessed but has been defiled, is kept for oneself for less than ten days, a downfall occurs. Second, separation: any of one's three blessed Dharma robes is placed in a different location from where one is staying, and after one day and night has passed, it is considered separated. Third, keeping for a month: if a cloth dedicated as material for a Dharma robe, which is one cubit in length and cannot cover the two knees and the three wheels of the navel, is blessed and kept for more than a month. Between this and the aforementioned keeping, there is a difference between defiled and undefiled, and separation has the distinction of the same or different locations. Fourth, having a robe washed: having a non-relative bhikshuni wash or bleach a blessed Dharma robe. Fifth, taking a robe: even though one has that Dharma robe, not for the purpose of exchange or sale, but for oneself, requesting a robe that covers the three wheels from a non-relative bhikshuni whose wealth is different from one's own. Sixth, begging: begging for such a robe from a non-relative householder. Seventh, begging appropriately: a bhikshu who does not have any of the three Dharma robes begs from a single non-relative householder for more than one upper or lower garment. Eighth, estimating and begging: begging from a non-relative householder for more than or better than what they would freely give. Ninth, separately estimating and begging: begging separately from the male and female of the same household as before. Tenth, entrusting value: entrusting a jewel to the person in charge of the value of the robe, urging three times, and even if one does not receive it even while sitting in sight during the three times, if one still wants to receive it, one continues to urge until one receives the robe.
