Like producing. Second, the wisdom of ordinary beings, the former produces the latter, and the wisdom of the noble ones, the former produces the latter of its own kind. In short, most of the immediate causes of phenomena such as pillars and vases are their co-emergent causes. Fifth, the all-accompanying cause has nature and examples. The afflicted one who produces the subsequent affliction in the same realm as oneself is the nature of the all-accompanying cause. Example: The former affliction of each of the three realms and nine lands produces the subsequent affliction of its own land. Sixth, the ripening cause has characteristics and classifications. As stated in the upper and lower Abhidharma, anything included in non-virtue and contaminated virtue is the characteristic of the ripening cause. In terms of classification, there are two types: contaminated virtue and non-virtue. Although the uncontaminated actions and wisdom of the noble ones, as well as unspecified actions, are not the ripening cause, they are the acting cause and the co-emergent cause. Second, explaining conditions, there are three: definition, classification, and dispute resolution. First, helping is the definition of a condition. There are four types of classification: causal condition, objective condition, dominant condition, and immediate condition. First, the two terms "cause" and "condition" have the same meaning, and in general, if it is a cause, it is necessarily a condition. However, the immediate cause of that phenomenon is the cause of that phenomenon, and the co-occurring condition is the condition that is divided into the cause and condition of that phenomenon. The opposing condition of that phenomenon is merely nominally designated as the condition of that phenomenon, and is not a real condition. Second, the objective condition has a definition and an example. Self-grasping direct perception primarily generates its own aspect, and itself is the definition of being an objective condition. Applying it to the basis, the direct perception of the sense faculty grasping blue primarily generates the aspect of blue, which is the definition of the objective condition of the direct perception of the sense faculty grasping blue. Other analogies. The example is blue, etc. In general, if it is an object, it must be an objective condition. Even so, it must be both the object and the condition of either self-grasping sense consciousness or mental consciousness. Third, the dominant condition has a definition and an example. Self-grasping direct perception freely primarily generates, and itself is the definition of being a dominant condition. Applying it to the basis, the previous

Primarily generates the manifestation of the preceding sense faculty's autonomy. It is the definition of the dominant condition for the manifestation of the preceding sense faculty. It can also be applied to other situations. For example, the eye faculty, and similarly from the ear faculty to the mind faculty. Virtuous and non-virtuous actions, etc., are the dominant conditions for their respective results. If it is compounded, then most of your actual co-emergent assisting conditions are your dominant conditions. For eye consciousness, etc., there are two kinds of dominant conditions, both common and uncommon. For example, eye consciousness has the uncommon dominant condition of the eye faculty, and the common dominant condition of the mind faculty. Fourth, the definition and example of the immediately preceding condition. First, it is the awareness that primarily generates the experience and clarity of self-grasping consciousness. It is the definition of the immediately preceding condition. If asked about the basis and repetition, it is the awareness that primarily and actually generates the experience and clarity of the preceding consciousness. It is the definition of the immediately preceding condition of the preceding consciousness. It can also be applied to other situations. The example is the consciousness that occurred immediately before the preceding eye consciousness. If consciousness is in accordance with meaning, then even if you admit that you have a condition, it is a contradiction in terms. If it is a thing, then even if you have both the causal condition and the dominant condition, it does not pervade the other two. Third, regarding the resolution of doubts. Some people think that all dharmas are objective conditions, because the Treasury says, "The objective condition is all dharmas." If you say that, there is no fault, because all dharmas are objects of the mind, but not objective conditions. Is the objective condition of that consciousness simultaneous with that consciousness or not? If asked, the Vaibhashikas think that, for example, the objective condition of the eye consciousness that apprehends blue is simultaneous with the consciousness that apprehends the object. The Sautrantikas think that the objective condition is not simultaneous with the consciousness that apprehends the object, and this view is common, but there are also those who think it is simultaneous. Those who, like Khedrup Je, think it is not simultaneous think that, immediately after the preceding eye consciousness apprehends blue, the appearance of blue arises, but at that time, although the blue that has become the objective condition has ceased, the appearance that arises has not ceased, and it exists at the time of the appearance.
