are simultaneous. Then, when the wisdom that directly realizes emptiness newly arises in one's own continuum, obtaining the path of seeing and obtaining the first ground are simultaneous. Moreover, at the moment of obtaining the first ground, that wisdom is the uninterrupted path of the path of seeing. It actually abandons the imputed grasping at truth, and directly realizes the liberation path of the Mahayana path of seeing, thus also obtaining the truth of cessation. When one arises from that equipoise, subsequent wisdom arises. Although the upper half of the first ground is the path of seeing, all the wisdom from the lower half to the tenth ground is the path of meditation. The ten grounds are distinguished by the two aspects of what is to be abandoned and how it is abandoned, and how qualities are obtained. Regarding how to abandon what is to be abandoned, the Svātantrika Madhyamikas, following the Ornament for Clear Realization, consider the imputed grasping at truth as the cognitive obscuration, which is abandoned during the path of seeing. The innate grasping at truth is divided into nine categories of large, medium, and small, which are gradually abandoned from the lower half of the first ground to the tenth ground. They believe that abandoning these and becoming a Buddha are simultaneous. The Prasangika Madhyamikas, on the other hand, consider grasping at truth as the afflictive obscuration, which is gradually abandoned from the first to the seventh ground. Abandoning these and obtaining the eighth ground are simultaneous. Furthermore, they consider the habitual tendencies of the illusion of dualistic appearance as the cognitive obscuration, which is divided into three categories of large, medium, and small. The three pure grounds gradually abandon these, thereby attaining enlightenment. Regarding how to obtain qualities, it is also established based on whether each ground's enjoyment is complete or not, whether hundreds of thousands of twelve qualities are obtained or not, and whether the practice of the ten perfections is particularly obtained or not. In general, sentient beings who are to be tamed by the Paramita Vehicle attain Buddhahood after completing the accumulation of merit for three countless eons. That is, by accumulating the merit of the first countless eon through the two paths of accumulation and preparation, or including the upper half of the first ground. From the lower half of the first ground to the impure seventh ground, the merit of the second countless eon is accumulated. From the three pure grounds, the merit of the third countless eon is accumulated, and after completion, enlightenment is attained. However, there is no requirement to remain within the three countless eons. Because there are also those who enter the Mantra Vehicle and quickly attain Buddhahood, and there are those who attain Buddhahood after thirty-three countless eons, or even longer. In the case of the Mantra Vehicle, the Paramita Vehicle

Although it is said that there are ten bhumis and even more, having the same name does not necessarily mean having the same meaning, because it is not actual, but rather considered as a substitute, which is very common. Similarly, although there is a distinction of five paths, it does not necessarily have to be exactly the same as the Paramita Vehicle. Moreover, in each stage of the generation and completion phases, there are ways to combine those bhumis and dharmas in a similar way. In particular, in the stage of the completion phase, there are special ways to calculate the ten bhumis and five paths as substitutes. An example of a substitute is that in the eighth bhumi of the Paramita Vehicle, one must attain the union of calm abiding and special insight, but if the generation phase of Anuttarayoga reaches its completion, it can substitute for it. In the Paramita Vehicle, a special mind-made body is obtained from that bhumi, but here the illusory body of the third stage can substitute for that bhumi. In the Paramita Vehicle stage, the uninterrupted path at the end of the path of meditation actually abandons the afflictive obscurations, but here, although the meaning-clear light of the fourth stage is the path of seeing, it can actually abandon the afflictive obscurations, so it becomes like a substitute for it. The result of both Sutra and Tantra is the same Buddhahood, but if there is a difference in the distance to the result, what is it like? The reason for that has already been stated. However, there is a way to illustrate it, for example, although the place to go in the world is the same, because the roads to go are long and short, just like a long place requires ten days of travel, a short place can be reached in one day, just like the difference between having a mount or not, the paths of Sutra and Tantra also have differences in the distance to the result, speed, and the size of the ground. Secondly, for the sake of the unsurpassed tantra, if a disciple obtains the illusory body, it is said that he will definitely attain Buddhahood in this life, which is the sharpest of the faculties, like a precious jewel. There are also two types of people who cannot obtain it in this life: those who have obtained or are able to obtain mind isolation, and those who are not able to obtain it. The first is that one will attain Buddhahood by arising as an illusory body at the cost of the intermediate state, and the second is that one has obtained speech isolation or below of the completion stage, and the subtle and coarse of the generation stage have reached completion, and the coarse has reached completion, and one has practiced well, and one has practiced a little.
