Having attained accomplishments from practicing both mundane and supramundane achievements. At that time, a monk named 'Delighting in Ease' composed twelve hundred thousand treatises called 'Ornament of Reason,' refuted everything, and in order to subdue him, he taught the Dharma at Nalanda. At that time, two children listened to the Dharma and went underground. When asked who they were, they said they were nagas. The teacher said, "Bring the mud of the yakshas." They requested the Naga King, who said, "Invite the teacher." So they invited the teacher. The teacher, knowing it would be meaningful, went to the land of the nagas and taught the Dharma. At that time, the nagas requested him to stay, but the teacher said, "I have come to seek mud for building a hundred thousand stupas and to bring ten hundred thousand treatises. I don't have time to stay; I might come later." So he brought back a lot of mud, treatises, and a few letters. It is said that the nagas did not return a little bit from the bottom of the treatises. Then, with that mud, he built a hundred thousand stupas and so on, with the help of the nagas. Most of it was completed. Some were not built because they did not go to the land of the nagas, so he became known as Nagarjuna. After that, in the Likara forest, he turned trees into gold and made great offerings. At that time, two old Brahmins gained faith because they received a lot of gold. The elder became an attendant, listened to the Dharma, and died. The teacher became the Bodhi of the Nagas. After that, he went to Pata Besa in the east and built many temples. He also built temples in the Radha region. He intended to turn a bell-like rock into gold, but the gods prevented him. On the way to a place with unpleasant sounds, the palm lines of a child named Jitaka in the city of Salamana prophesied that he would become a king. After arriving at the place with unpleasant sounds, he hung his clothes on a tree and took a bath. When the clothes were taken away, the teacher said, "Those are mine." They said, "We are the owners," and looked. After doing some things there, he left. The previous child had become a king, and he offered many jewels. In return, the teacher gave him a garland of Dharma jewels. The activities of that teacher's teachings were: managing the Sangha, building many stupas and temples, surrounding Vajrasana with a stone lattice fence, building the layout of the glorious Dhanyakataka stupa, and mainly explaining inner science in the treatises, with the view of Madhyamaka.

Concerning Madhyamaka, the collections of Madhyamaka praises that demonstrate through scriptural authority; the collections of reasoning that demonstrate through logic; those that primarily demonstrate conduct, among which, those that demonstrate through scriptural authority are compiled from all Sutras; those that demonstrate through logic are the Great Vehicle Mind Training; that which awakens the Shravaka lineage is the "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Dream"; that which primarily demonstrates the conduct of householders is the "Letter to a Friend"; that which primarily demonstrates the conduct of monastics is the "Collection of Bodhi Resources"; concerning the Mantrayana aspect, the condensed view and practice are compiled from all Tantras; that which establishes the view is the "Explanation of Bodhicitta"; that which demonstrates the generation stage is the "Condensed Method of Accomplishment of Guhyasamaja"; the "Sutra Combination," the "Twenty Mandala Rituals"; that which demonstrates the completion stage is the "Five Stages," and so forth. He also composed treatises on the science of medicine, such as the "Hundred Concoctions," and treatises on worldly conduct, such as the "Nectar for Nourishing Beings," which advises the populace; the "Hundred Verses of Wisdom," which advises ministers; the "Precious Garland of Madhyamaka," which demonstrates the union of the Great Vehicle's view and practice for the king; furthermore, he independently composed many works on astrology of dependent origination, incense blending, alchemy, and so forth; and as commentaries on other treatises, he wrote the "Commentary on Guhyasamaja" and the abridgement of the "Rice Seedling Sutra," and so forth. Regarding the Four Seals, it is said, "It was not composed by Nagarjuna." It is recorded in the "Ear of Whispered Instructions." Teacher Wisdom Source Intelligence says in the "Commentary on Engaging in Bodhisattva Deeds" that Teacher Nagarjuna also composed a "Compendium of Trainings." In this way, he accomplished the work of benefiting beings for six hundred years. At that time, King Mita-juti or Good Joyful Conduct had a son named Youthful Powerful One, to whom his mother gave a seamless fine garment, and he said, "This will be useful when I take the throne." His mother said, "You will not take the throne, your father and Teacher Nagarjuna have already achieved accomplishment through longevity practices and essence extraction, the Teacher and his life are one." Afterwards, he went to the place where Teacher Nagarjuna was residing on Mount Shri, and when he requested his head, the Teacher gave teachings, but when he tried to cut it off with a sword, it would not cut. The Teacher said, "I once cut kusha grass, and therefore there is the karmic ripening of killing a living being, it can only be cut with kusha grass." Having said this, he cut off his head with kusha grass. From the root of his neck, a verse was uttered: "I will go to the world of Sukhavati, and there I will again take rebirth in this body."
