It is explained in the "Manjushri Namasamgiti" that if one does not understand the Kalachakra, one does not understand the meaning of the Namasamgiti, and so on. In the "Vimalaprabha," it says: "Whoever makes the correct recitation of the names the measure, whereby sentient beings become free from doubt. Then, the Bhagavan correctly explained to Vajrapani, through the tantric vehicle, the definitive meaning of all the forms of mantras, which is the correct recitation of the names. Therefore, whoever does not understand the supreme primordial Buddha does not understand the correct recitation of the names. Whoever does not understand the correct recitation of the names does not understand the wisdom body of Vajradhara. Whoever does not understand the wisdom body of Vajradhara does not understand the tantric vehicle. Whoever does not understand the tantric vehicle, all of them are samsaric beings, separated from the path of the Bhagavan Vajradhara. Therefore, the supreme primordial Buddha's noble gurus should explain, and the noble disciples who seek liberation should listen." As it says in the sutra, among these vehicles of the Shravakas, Paramitas, and Mantras, the unchanging essence, the Bhagavan Vajradhara, is explained by the Tathagata from the correct recitation of the names. Those who do not understand this meaning, who are not true gurus, who have degenerated from the unchanging wisdom, will appear in the future. These degenerated ones will cause sentient beings to degenerate. As it says in the sutra, similarly, from the correct recitation of the names, the unchanging wisdom of the Bhagavan Vajradhara, which has become the essence of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, is elaborately explained by the Tathagata with six hundred and sixty-two verses of supplication. Among them, from "Then, the glorious Vajradhara" to "Bowing the body, standing before him," are sixteen verses of supplication. From "Then, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni" to "The Bhagavan said, 'Excellent!'" are six verses of reply. Again, from "Then, the Bhagavan" to "Seeing the great crest of the great lineage," is about the six realms.
