Nor is it. When appearance and mind intertwine, although it appears as one, it is not one. No matter how the object exists, if the object and mind do not meet, not even one appears. Therefore, for sentient beings, it is the impure illusory appearance; for yogis, it is the appearance of experience; and for the perfectly enlightened Buddha, it is the pure appearance. The great teacher Virupa said that these are the appearances of each individual. Furthermore, the objects of appearance of sinful, non-virtuous actions and white, virtuous actions are different. Because of ignorance, all sentient beings do not recognize that the essence of their own minds is naturally pure. Due to the power of ignorance, they grasp onto "I" and "mine." The illusion of grasping and fixation gives rise to afflictions. Driven by this, they engage in non-virtuous actions, and as a result, they revolve in the suffering of samsara in the six realms. This is the impure appearance. The basis is the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, which are the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, and what is transformed from the elements. The root is the letters of samsara and nirvana. Wherever in the body wind and mind gather, this experience arises, and that experience does not arise. Therefore, for yogis, it is the appearance of experience. The Sugata, having purified all obscurations, knows all that is to be known, which is the pure appearance. So, does the all-knowing one know this false illusory appearance of objects or not? If he does not know, then he is not all-knowing. If he knows, does he know the illusory appearance of objects as an illusory appearance, or does he know it as a non-illusory appearance? If it is the former, then even though he knows it as it is in the object, it will not become an illusion, because all phenomena are self-appearing. The pure appearance of the Buddha appears as wisdom, so it will not become an illusion. Just as a skilled doctor knows the disease of the patient, but the doctor does not experience the disease. If it is the latter, the one with illusion does not know the illusion as an illusion, so this illusion cannot be confused with the pure appearance. Because sentient beings see the three—pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral—they give rise to the three poisons of attachment, aversion, and ignorance. The Buddha has no illusion. Because the Buddha has no afflictions. Therefore, if appearance is lost in the object, afflictions will arise. Appearance should be experienced as the great seal of one's own mind. If it is experienced as the great seal, it is not an affliction. If it is experienced as an affliction, it is not the great seal.

It is not vast. Therefore, one needs to meditate. After meditating, when one slightly experiences the co-emergent nature, self-awareness, Dharmakaya, the seven consciousnesses are controlled by the object-possessor, and that comes from being naturally pure. That is also when the breath subsides and disappears, the consciousness subsides. When the afflicted mind slightly weakens, the five sense doors are non-conceptual. When one slightly experiences the co-emergent nature of emptiness, all phenomena dissolve into the self-mind's awareness. Experiencing self-appearance as Mahamudra, other-appearances are controlled. As it says in the "Noble Collection Sutra": The king does not enter the city, the entourage does not enter the city, just as one gathers from one's own place, gathering everything. The Bodhisattva does not enter anywhere in the nature of reality, gathering all the qualities that arise from the Buddha-lands. Thus it is said. Realizing appearance as self-appearance, the externally grasped object, the internally grasping mind, all that is grasped as things, and the non-duality of inner and outer mind, when self-appearance, clear light, slightly arises, the appearance of habitual tendencies is eliminated. There is no obstruction from mountains and walls to all things like ashes, it is not that all things like mountains and walls have disappeared, but if the mind does not conceptualize the grasped and the grasper as objects, it is the wisdom of clear light non-duality, there is nothing else. Third, "transforming afflictions into the path of bliss" means that in general, there are many afflictions such as the six root afflictions and the twenty secondary afflictions, but the root of those is the five afflictions. Not realizing them, they appear as afflictions. Realizing them, they are body and wisdom. That is, the body is the five families: hatred is Akshobhya, pride is Ratnasambhava, desire is Amitabha, jealousy is Amoghasiddhi, and ignorance is Vairochana. Transforming afflictions into deities on the path. Also, hatred is like mirror-like wisdom, pride is equality wisdom, desire is discriminating wisdom, jealousy is accomplishing wisdom, and ignorance is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Therefore, without hatred there is no Dharmakaya, without pride there are no qualities, without desire there is no bliss, without jealousy there is no activity, without ignorance there is no Dharmadhatu. Therefore, do not abandon those, but know that each is body and wisdom. The five objects from which the five afflictions arise is the mind, the mind.
