Balanced regarding conceit and non-conceit, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in sensual pleasures, and also Skilled in freedom from sensual pleasures; All sensual pleasures exhausted, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in anger, and also Skilled in freedom from anger; All fires of anger extinguished, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in wrath, and also Skilled in freedom from wrath; He extinguished the fire of wrath, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in desire, and also Skilled in freedom from desire; Cut off all desire for existence, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in greed, and also Skilled in freedom from greed; Untainted by the craving of greed, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in sorrow, and also Skilled in freedom from sorrow; He pulled out the dart of sorrow, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in attachment, and also Skilled in freedom from attachment; Released from all attachment, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in agitation, and also Skilled in freedom from agitation; All agitations of kamma exhausted, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in the dart, and also Skilled in freedom from the dart; He broke all darts, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in decay, and also Skilled in the undecaying; Attained the undecaying in every way, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in the world, and also Skilled in the end of the world; Realized the transcendent, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in purity, and also Skilled in impurity; He purified the path to purity, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in time, and also Skilled in timelessness; He taught according to time, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in deception, and also Skilled in freedom from deception; Completely freed from deception, That Buddha, I revere. Skilled in joy, and skilled in sorrow too; Everywhere serene and calm, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in the wheel of the world, skilled in the wheel of Dhamma; He destroyed the wheel of the world, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in this shore, and skilled in the other shore too; Having gone to the other shore of the dreadful flood, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in understanding, and skilled in misunderstanding too; In every way he understands all, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in bondage, and skilled in security too; Having attained the security from bondage, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in defilement, and skilled in purity; He washed away all defilement, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in doubt, and skilled in certainty; Free from doubt everywhere, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in timidity, and skilled in confidence; Endowed with the knowledge of confidence, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in change, and skilled in changelessness; He suppressed all changes, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in delusion, and skilled in non-delusion; Liberated from all delusions, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in suffering, and skilled in non-suffering; He made an end to sufferings, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in aversion, and skilled in non-aversion; He who is empty of perceptions of aversion, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in defilements, and skilled in non-defilements; All his defilements exhausted, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in good qualities, and skilled in bad qualities too; Endowed with all good qualities, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in welfare, and skilled in ill-fare; Having attained the goal of welfare, to that Buddha I bow. Of vast wisdom, mighty, skilled in the path and non-path; Having gained the ultimate truth, to that Buddha I bow. Skilled in mental tranquility, skilled in jhana and samadhi; Attainments Boundless, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in the path, knower of the path, Knower of the Dhamma, skilled in the Dhamma; Skilled in the highest, knower of the highest, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in clear comprehension, skilled in right mindfulness; Skilled in the foundations of mindfulness, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in the seven factors of awakening, skilled in all classifications; Skilled in knowledge, possessed of the three knowledges, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in liberation of mind, skilled in liberation by wisdom; Attained to both liberations, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in the bases of psychic power, skilled in knowing others' minds; Endowed with the six supernormal powers, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in the immeasurables, gone to the far shore of the eight-fold path; Attained to the complete destruction, I bow down to that Buddha. Skilled in the fixed laws of Dhamma, skilled also in the nature of things; Skilled in the stability of Dhamma, I bow down to that Buddha. Endowed with restraint of body, skilled in restraint of mind; Restrained by restraint of speech, I bow down to that Buddha. Eldest of the world, foremost of the world, Eldest of the three worlds, possessed of the three knowledges; Eldest of men, distinguished, I bow down to that Buddha. Foremost of all, established in good Dhamma, Completely suppressed all (defilements) wisely; Unattached, unmixed, I bow down to that Buddha. Eldest of all, foremost of all, Highest of all, leader of all; Protector of all, master of all, I bow down to that Buddha. Conqueror of death, conqueror of Māra, Destroyer of Māra's dominion; Destroyed Māra's snare, I bow down to that Buddha. Abandoning death, abandoning Māra, Destroyer of death's dominion; Destroyed death's snare, I bow down to that Buddha. Victory over Māra, victory over death, Destroyer of the dominion of the Ender; Shattered the realm of death, I bow down to that Buddha. Full of exertion, hero, Crusher of Māra's army; Crossed over death, conquered death, I bow down to that Buddha. Crushed Māra's illusion, Slayer of deluding Māra; Crusher of Māra's pride, I bow down to that Buddha. He crushed, the variegated one, the crusher of death; The serpent, destroyer of Namuci, to that Buddha I bow.494. Always victorious, the hero, the supreme ascetic, conqueror of all; Giver of safety, lord of safety, to that Buddha I bow.500. Tamed of trembling, tamed of fear, tamed of terror, tamed of dread; Tamed of horror, tamed of fright, to that Buddha I bow.503. Tamed of desire, tamed of hatred, tamed of aversion, tamed of hostility; Tamed of burning, tamed of torment, to that Buddha I bow.504. Rightly striving, valiant, with a mind of great valor; Strenuous, conqueror of Māra, to that Buddha I bow.505. Skilled in right striving, restrained, exceedingly self-controlled; Perfected in perfections, to that Buddha I bow.506. Modest and conscientious, ardent, well-tamed, exceedingly self-controlled; Foremost of the Sakyas, eldest of all, to that Buddha I bow.507. Holder of ten powers, firm, steadfast, unconquerable; Chief of men, hero, to that Buddha I bow.508. Supreme among bipeds, tamer, tamed, of firm endeavor; Free from faults, knower of faults, to that Buddha I bow.509. Undertaking, striving, commencing effort, valiant; He fulfilled the perfections, to that Buddha I bow. Resplendent, attained perfections, Diligent, upholding; He defeated evil Māra, To that Buddha I bow. Endowed with swift power, A hero, crown of valor; Holder of steadfastness, very wise, To that Buddha I bow. Valor insurmountable, Untiring exertion; Attained the Deathless, To that Buddha I bow. Endowed with constant mindfulness, Gone to the other shore of right exertions; Seer of the noble vision, To that Buddha I bow. Endowed with right effort, Gone to the other shore of right exertions; Attained all goals, accomplished his aim, To that Buddha I bow. A hero, victorious in battle, A brave one, victorious over enemies; A wise one, leader of men, To that Buddha I bow. He fulfilled all perfections, A chief of men, mighty; Liberated from birth and death, To that Buddha I bow. Valor and exertion, Abandoning evil deeds; Taking up the means, the approach, To that Buddha I bow. For the welfare of all beings, He strove, mighty; He sought the path to liberation, To that Buddha I bow. He completely severed the cycle of existence, A lion among men, fearless; Perfectly attained the highest goal, To that Buddha I bow. Delusion destroyed, deceit destroyed, Hypocrisy destroyed, pride destroyed; Conceit destroyed, Māra destroyed, To that Buddha I bow. Destroyer of hypocrisy, destroyer of arrogance, Destroyer of the cycle, the Worthy One; Destroyer of seeds, destroyer of obstacles, To that Buddha I bow. Completely destroyed the leading string of existence, With mind freed from formations; Completely destroyed ignorance, To that Buddha I bow. Self-restrained, self-controlled, Tranquil self, concentrated; Liberated self, dispassionate self, To that Buddha I bow. Destroyer of evil, destroyer of merit, Destroyer of 'I', destroyer of 'mine'; Destroyer of doubt, destroyer of perplexity, To that Buddha I bow. Destroyer of eons, destroyer of time, Destroyer of defilements in every way; Destroyer of roots, destroyer of suffering, To that Buddha I bow.
