His craving for sensual pleasures exhausted, He transcended craving for existence; His craving for non-existence destroyed, To that Buddha I bow. The destroyer of the net of defilements, The cleanser of the stain of craving; The stream of samsara he dried up, To that Buddha I bow. His dwelling in the cave (body) exhausted, His reliance on craving abandoned; His latent tendency to ignorance cut off, To that Buddha I bow. Having transcended all hopes, The drier of the stream of craving; The stream of Dhamma he caused to flow, To that Buddha I bow. Having attained the destruction of all craving, The dispeller of all suffering; All attachments he shattered, To that Buddha I bow. All cravings he suppressed, All desires calmed; All agitations he uprooted, To that Buddha I bow. All agitations he broke, The ascetic who transcended all craving; All desires he abandoned, To that Buddha I bow. Having crossed the ocean of craving, Desiring nothing, wishing for nothing; The dart of the mind he released, To that Buddha I bow. The cycle of kamma he avoided, From defilements of kamma he departed; Restrained everywhere, the hero, To that Buddha I bow. Unattached, perfectly calm, Beyond lust, hatred, and fear; The abandoner of existence and kamma, the skillful one, To that Buddha I bow. I bow down to him. A lion without fear, whose trembling is cut off, whose fear is cut off; Attained the destruction of becoming and kamma, I bow down to that Buddha. He burnt up the seeds of kamma, the uprooter of the root of delusion; He wore away the latent defilements, I bow down to that Buddha. Whose all kamma is exhausted, who has worn away all results; Who has abandoned all merit and demerit, I bow down to that Buddha. Greatly powerful, wise, Who has ended existence and non-existence; Who has attained the fruit of immortality, To that Buddha I bow. The Blessed One, partaker of Nibbana, Who has attained peace, fortunate; Who has attained supreme bliss, To that Buddha I bow. Endowed with virtues of conduct, A mine of all virtues; Complete like the full moon, To that Buddha I bow. Whose delight and passion are exhausted, Who releases from clinging; The supreme man, secure from bondage, To that Buddha I bow. Who does what is to be done, whose task is done, Who reveals what is to be done and not to be done; Skilful in matters of duty, To that Buddha I bow. The greatly calmed, supreme sage, The skilled, chief of sages; The chief of seers, the highest, To that Buddha I bow. Whose fear and terror are abandoned, Confident in assemblies; Who roared the lion's roar among men, To that Buddha I bow. Who goes to the other shore, who has gone to the other shore, The excellent one, who has reached the end; Knower of the world, who has reached the world's end, To that Buddha I bow. Fully accomplished in the ultimate truth, Seer of the supreme truth; Who has realized Nibbana, To that Buddha I bow. In gain and loss, fame and disrepute, In honor and dishonor; The master, equal in all things, To that Buddha I bow. The wise one who has attained the ultimate goal, The supremely pure and excellent one; Who released from the bonds of existence, To that Buddha I bow. The fitting one, the awakened one, Who liberates from transmigration; Endowed with perfect tranquility, To that Buddha I bow. Who has fully understood the five aggregates, Who is perfected by wisdom; Who crushed all delusion, To that Buddha I bow. The foremost, supreme man, Seeker of the other shore, who has gone to the other shore; Who has attained seclusion, To that Buddha I bow. Who has attained the destruction of all defilements, Whose all latent tendencies are destroyed; Who abandoned all cankers, To that Buddha I bow. You cut off all ignorance, wielding the sharp weapon of wisdom; You destroyed all underlying tendencies, to that Buddha I bow. You have overcome all sorrow, destroyer of all suffering; You have cut off all distress, to that Buddha I bow. You revealed the path to liberation, seeker of the path to liberation; Free from all diseases of existence, to that Buddha I bow.
