After doing that, they left without saying anything. When the Venerable Ānanda arrived in that direction, they shouted as before, and Ānanda reported to the Blessed One. After the Blessed One instructed as such, Ānanda went to the residence of the black youth and said, "By the truth that the Three Jewels and the precepts pleasing to the Noble Ones are supreme, may the limbs of the black youth be restored as before!" Just at the end of saying this, he was restored to his former state. All the people said that Ānanda had defeated the heretics. Then, the black youth went before the Teacher. The Teacher taught the Dharma, and he also attained the fruit of non-return. He also accomplished miracles. Then, King Prasenajit began to take him home, but he said, "I will serve the Buddha and stay here." The king also agreed, and he stayed in a grove practicing walking meditation, so it was called the Ḍumba Grove. In this way, for seven days, the king built a great miracle palace between Śrāvastī and Jeta Grove, similar to the heavenly palace, and also arranged a throne made of gold, adorned with various jewels. The heretical lay followers and all the followers of the six teachers also decorated six miracle palaces according to their respective wealth, and arranged six thrones. Then, on the eighth day, the heretics, surrounded by their respective retinues, came very early and said to the king, "We are here, please invite the Śramaṇa Gautama." So a messenger was sent. The king and his entourage went to the assembly hall and sent a Brahmin boy named Lama to invite him. The Teacher said to him, "You go, I will come." After saying this, when the Brahmin Lama returned, the Blessed One, like the king of swans, rose into the sky and went to the assembly hall of the miracle palace. Then, the young Krishna placed a mango tree with lush branches and abundant fruits, adorned with the sounds of various birds, from the fragrant sandalwood mountain, to the north of the miracle hall. Similarly, a householder named Nganleg Jin, who had attained the state of non-return, also took a branch of the divine tree from the Thirty-Three Heavens and placed it to the south. The king, as before, said to them, "Is the miracle Gautama's miracle, or is it ours? Who can do it?" They spoke arrogantly. The Tathagata's setting of the time for seven days was also with the intention that the disciples to be tamed would gather at the time of showing the great miracle. There, countless people who were eager to see the great miracle also gathered, as well as gods, nagas, asuras, garudas, gandharvas, yakshas, kinnaras, asuras, and countless spirits. Knowing this, the Teacher washed his feet and entered the meditation hall, entering into the fire element samadhi, and flames of light emerged from the cracks in the door. Like flames spreading, the entire inside and outside of the miracle hall burned, turning into a blaze with various colors, shapes, and radiant delights. The heretics, thinking that the miracle hall was burned by fire, were overjoyed and said, "If Gautama has power, let him extinguish this fire!" Immediately, the miracle of the flames subsided, and all unclean, impure, and unsightly things were purified by the flames. The meditation hall appeared brighter, more beautiful, and spotless than before. Then, the king and all the people were filled with joy. The king said to them, "The Teacher has already shown miracles, now it is your turn." But they were all speechless and could not say a word. Then, the Blessed One pressed the ground with the toe of his right foot, and the earth shook in six ways. The five hundred hermits whom the six teachers had previously searched for in all directions, dwelling in the forest near the snowy mountains, thought, "The earthquake is a signal from the six teachers." So they flew from the sky. They came relying on the great light rays emitted by the Blessed One, and as soon as they saw the Buddha's body, they developed great faith.

Having descended to the earth, they prostrated at the feet of the Buddha Bhagavan and sat down. The Buddha taught them the Dharma, and they saw the truth. They requested to be ordained, and the Buddha granted them full ordination with the words "Welcome, Bhikshus." Afterwards, the Buddha taught them again, and they all immediately attained the state of Arhat. Then, the Teacher, surrounded by five hundred newly enlightened Arhats, sat upon the lion throne in the hall of miracles. At that time, the female lay disciple who takes miracles, the wicked benefactor Sudatta, the novice who encourages, the female novice Unforgettable, the Bhikshuni Utpalavarna, and the son of the venerable Maudgalyayana, each requested the Buddha, saying, "Please allow us to subdue these heretics. We will also make the gods and humans rejoice, and the virtuous people will be pleased." The Buddha said, "The heretics are coming for me, not for you, so just relax a little." Thus, he restrained them. Then, in the midst of an immeasurable assembly, the Bhagavan said to King Prasenajit, "Great King, who is requesting me to perform miracles together with the heretics?" The king rose from his seat, folded his palms, and respectfully said, "Venerable One, it is I who request you to show miracles, for the benefit and happiness of all beings." After saying this, the Teacher entered into Samadhi, disappeared from the seat, and displayed the four postures in the four directions of the sky. He entered the fire element Samadhi, emitted six rays of light, and displayed twin miracles such as flames burning and water flowing, as well as various other miracles, and then sat upon the lion throne. The Buddha said, "This miracle is common to the Shravakas." The Bhagavan also said, "Who is requesting the Tathagata to show the unsurpassed miracle?" The king requested as before. The Bhagavan touched the earth with his right hand, and from under the earth emerged a golden lotus offered by the Nagas, the size of a chariot wheel, with a thousand petals, stems of various jewels, and a diamond pistil. The Bhagavan himself sat upon the heart of that lotus. The stem of the lotus also became extremely large, extending all the way to Akanistha.

From there, it expanded greatly in all directions, left and right, and became five hundred great lotuses, upon which resided five hundred emanation Buddhas. Among them, some Buddhas were blazing with fire, some were shining brightly, others were raining, and some were emitting lightning. Similarly, they were showing various different actions such as prophesying with omniscience, requesting, answering, walking, sitting, standing, sleeping, and countless different miracles. There, even children and young ones, and even tiny creatures were blessed to see it. There, hundreds of thousands of people, including kings, and hundreds of thousands of gods dwelling in the sky, were watching without blinking and singing praises, beating great drums, blowing conch shells, playing various musical instruments, some singing, some dancing. The gods were also scattering jeweled flowers, various kinds of flowers, fragrant powders, various divine garments, and various ornaments, and making the sound "Ah la la". The animals also felt joy and made various sounds of their own kind, elephants trumpeting, camels complaining, horses neighing, peacocks making changing sounds, and so on, and everything became very joyful. The Blessed One also said, "One should initiate and strive," and so on. The emanations said simultaneously, "As long as the sun has not risen, the light of the firefly is bright. When the sun rises in the sky, it becomes dim and unclear. As long as the Thus-Gone One has not appeared, the reasoners were previously bright. When the perfect Buddha illuminates the world, reasoning is no longer bright, they are not his disciples." Thus it was said. Monks, the great miracle will become invisible, remember this sign. The monks also remembered this sign, and immediately it became invisible. Then the king said to the heretics, "Now it is your turn to show miracles." Then the Completer instructed the son of the Black Hut, who instructed the True Victorious One, who instructed the Hair-Clothed One, who instructed the Knotted One, who instructed the Kinsman's Son, who instructed the Completer, but they said nothing.
