I know that the consciousness is more humid in the evening, so start from then. If you practice from the evening, first generate certainty about impermanence of death, between loving-kindness and compassion, and for the three types of individuals. Accumulate merit and clear away obstacles, so offer whatever torma you know. Visualize the Buddha and Bodhisattvas appearing clearly in the sky in front of you, and do the seven-branch practice. Mandala and the Hundred Syllable Mantra are important, so do them. Then wash up. Clear away all things that become obstacles to virtuous activity, such as mucus, and rest comfortably. Meditate on the mind of enlightenment. Meditate on the generation stage and completion stage in union. It is very important not to fall into dullness and agitation, and not to be distracted. Then if you want to end the meditation, dedicate it for the benefit of sentient beings. We are beings of the desire realm. As long as we have this brain in our head, we will fall asleep no matter what we do, so in order to benefit sentient beings, and to clear the mind, it is very important to get a good night's sleep and think about getting up early tomorrow. That itself is also virtuous activity. Then get up early in the morning and do things like urinating and defecating. Wash up. Even if you haven't finished, rinse your mouth. Clear away mucus, etc. Generate the mind for the benefit of sentient beings. Meditate on the generation stage and completion stage in union. When it gets hot in the morning, do the seven-branch practice to the Three Jewels. Then after it gets hot, offer the mandala and pray to the lama, yidam, heroes, and dakinis. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra as much as possible. Again, according to the lama's instructions, meditate on the generation stage and completion stage in union without distraction. Do not be controlled by dullness and agitation. Then do the seven-branch practice again at noon. After it gets hot, the body, speech, and mind are blessed, so circumambulate to dispel negativity. In addition, recite profound sutras. Do various white dharmas such as tormas and tsatsas. If you don't do this, just hoping for the view will not succeed. One wing cannot fly in the sky. One foot cannot stand on the ground. It is very important to combine skillful means and wisdom, and to practice continuously without distraction. In order to attain the perfectly complete Buddha, free from all elaborations, and to realize the indivisibility of the dharmadhatu and wisdom, you must pacify conceptual thought. In order to pacify conceptual thought from the root, you must meditate. Through the wisdom that arises from meditation, you must recognize conceptual thought itself as the Buddha's mind, the dharmakaya. If you establish other conceptual thoughts of listening and contemplation as an antidote to the conceptual thoughts that should be abandoned, it will not succeed. For example, to treat a feverish disease, mixing hot medicine and alcohol will only lead to death. The Monpa people cannot cure the disease in this way. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's like being powerless. Even if you have a thorough understanding from study and reflection, it's hard to avoid confusing the horse's tail in concepts. Furthermore, there is no Aryabhumi (འཕགས་ས་, 'phags sa, Aryabhumi, Holy Land). Everything is empty. Abandoning all accumulated merits, thinking that practice is unnecessary, and relying only on profound views is not enough. Because the Great Madhyamaka (དབུ་མ་ཆེན་པོ་, dbu ma chen po, Mahamadhyamaka, Great Middle Way) does not think that everything is empty, or that the nature of all dharmas is not empty. If you don't practice, you can't really tame your mind. Stodlungpa (སྟོད་ལུང་པ་, stod lung pa, Stodlungpa) Geshe (དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་, dge ba'i bshes gnyen, Kalyanamitra, Spiritual Friend) once said, 'I have a thorough understanding, but I still need a method to tame my mind.' He heard that there was a master named Durtropa (དུར་ཁྲོད་པ་, dur khrod pa, Sanskrit: Śmashāna, Cremation Ground) in Nepal, an accomplished one, so he went to visit, and fell ill on the way. Therefore, all great practitioners cannot do without practice. Thinking that conceptual thoughts will not harm you, and relying only on a smattering of knowledge is not enough. The arising of samsara is precisely due to these sudden conceptual thoughts. There is nowhere else to go. Would the Buddha (སངས་རྒྱས་, sangs rgyas, Buddha, Awakened One) be like a yak without having removed afflictions and conceptual thoughts, all in a mess? Therefore, if you can persevere in virtuous deeds, and get used to it later, you will not interrupt it, and eventually become a practitioner who can persevere in practice. Then, experience and realization will naturally arise. Then, you can truly be undisturbed by conceptual thoughts. The so-called undisturbed by conceptual thoughts means that the conceptual thoughts themselves, like clouds dissipating in the clear sky, or like ice melting on a lake, the conceptual thoughts naturally subside and no longer arise. If conceptual thoughts are allowed to develop, that itself is a harm. So, what is all this for? Because we will all die eventually. If everything ended after death, that would be fine, but we still have to be reborn. If you commit the ten non-virtuous deeds, you will fall into the lower realms, which is unbearable. Even if you are reborn in the heavens through the ten virtuous deeds, there is no greater happiness or help than suffering in the heavens. The nature of samsara is suffering. In order to get rid of the nature of suffering, you must rely on this precious human body to cut off the connection with samsara, so everyone should strive. Now we have met a true spiritual friend, who has an unbroken lineage of precious instructions and experiential realizations, not confused by words and terms, not turned into milk in the market. We are fortunate to hear these teachings. At this time when we have time and interest to practice, we should put aside all affairs and concerns, and start practicing diligently from today. Please keep this in mind.' (Tibetan, None, None, Auspicious) Always think of death and accumulate merit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
