also appears, but its essence does not change, so it appears like blue. Awareness itself also manifests as the five winds: In order to bring down the heat of awareness and wisdom, it is called the wind that is the same as fire; it holds the life of all beings in samsara and nirvana, it is the life-sustaining wind; distinguishing between faculties, objects, colors, etc., it is the wind that separates the pure and impure; pervading all of samsara and nirvana, it is the pervasive wind; cutting off the life of samsara and throwing it into the state of nirvana, it is called the merciless karma wind. Awareness itself also abides in the five wisdoms: Being the source of all of samsara and nirvana, it is the wisdom without differentiation; not going beyond the state of self-awareness, it is the wisdom that gathers; being the essence of all of them, it is the pervasive wisdom; it relies on the wind of wisdom, and awareness moves in the sky, so it is the wisdom that generates; cutting off the imputations of both samsara and nirvana, so it abides in the wisdom that cuts off imputations. Thus, because there is nothing other than awareness itself, it is called self-born wisdom. It abides in the body in terms of essence, at the time of equipoise it is the Dharmakaya itself; at the time of non-duality of equipoise and post-equipoise it is the Sambhogakaya; at the time of post-equipoise it is the Nirmanakaya. Its nature is clear as light, so it abides self-luminous in the base, and it appears in the symbolic lamp. The aspect of compassion abides in wisdom. Thus, because it abides as the basis of everything, there is no need to seek the Buddha, this is the reason why one's own mind is originally Buddha. Now, fourthly, where does the wisdom of awareness abide, indicating the place of abiding: It abides in the center of the body, in the palace of precious Citta, the peaceful body is as small as a mustard seed, abiding at a distance that the eyes can reach. The so-called body as small as a mustard seed is established from the aspect of being subtle and difficult to understand; the so-called distance that the eyes can reach refers to the vast appearance of wisdom relying on subtle practice. It abides in the body in terms of essence, like a vase; its nature abides in light, like a lamp inside a vase; compassion abides in rays, so the wick of the lamp does not go out and is bright. By the way, ignorance, afflictions, karma, habitual tendencies, and conceptual thoughts, etc., also rely on the power of the karma wind and abide in the lungs. Now, fifthly, from which path does the wisdom of awareness that abides in this way arise

The teaching on the channels is that it originates from the channels. To understand the characteristics of the channels, one must understand the characteristics of the body. If one does not understand the characteristics of the body's formation, one will not understand its location. If one does not understand its location, one will ultimately not understand the characteristics of the body's destruction. If one does not understand these, one will not understand the workings of the channels. The characteristic of the body's formation is that after the previous life has passed, the mind-made body in the intermediate state, whose consciousness dwells fleetingly. Driven by the karma of the previous life, it gathers at the place where male and female engage in intercourse, like bees gathering on fresh meat. Some lives also end because of this. Therefore, through good and bad karma, it is seen as a place of refuge, entering from the path of excretion, wrapping itself in the womb of the mother. Wind and mind mix with semen and blood. Thus, from the two causes, semen and blood, the action of the four elements of the conventional truth becomes a condition. From the two, wind and mind, the four elements of the ultimate truth become the agent. In the first week, the action of the water element gathers these four together, forming a shimmering base the size of one hundredth of a mustard seed. In the second week, the action of the earth element keeps them together and stabilizes them, making them about one-tenth the size of a mustard seed. In the third week, the action of the fire element causes the shimmering substance to pulsate like mercury, and without mixing with other substances, it becomes about one-third the size of a mustard seed. In the fourth week, the action of the wind element scatters these tiny bindus into hundreds and thousands, then gathers them again like mercury, and keeps them at about half the size of a mustard seed. Then, in the fifth week, the water, by gathering the essence and dross, causes it to gather and stabilize, maturing to the size of a mustard seed. Then, in the sixth week, the action of fire and wind matures it and clearly separates it, causing it to become twice the size of a mustard seed. In the seventh week, in the shimmering bindu about twice the size of a mustard seed, two very tiny eyes are formed. At this time, the actions of the four elements conflict: the moisture of water destroys, the weight of earth presses down, the heat of fire burns, and the wind generates light. It matures into a body in the heart, and matures into a bindu in the channels. In the eyes, there is the far-reaching water lamp, as well as the self-born lamp of wisdom, and the expanse of
