Measuring the Three: When abiding in the outer appearance, when the wind is exhausted, where does the light appearance abide? When abiding in the inner aggregates, one does not engage in worldly affairs. When the secret wind-mind abides, where is the wind tamed? Measuring with dreams: In the best case, dreams cease; in the intermediate case, one knows the dream as a dream; in the worst case, dreams change and come. ATHA (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning)! If one does not know the gathering of the senses when the sun is completely red, one cannot gather habits and signs with a single-pointed mind. If one does not know the cycle from the knowledge vase at dusk until one-third of the way into noon, one cannot combine the sleep of ignorance with the nature of meaning. If one does not know the self-sun of wisdom rising, one cannot measure the result. If appearance is not covered by vastness, one cannot overpower signs with force. At the time of gathering the senses, place the nature in the uncorrected state of Samantabhadri. At the time of entering the knowledge vase, if wisdom is not attained, then abide, because the cause merges into the cause. Although the power of awareness appears uninterrupted, the doer does not appear. Abide in the great wisdom of non-differentiation; the samadhi of the three kayas' tea-log reaches its measure. At the time of self-appearance of wisdom, abide in great bliss and clarity. At the time of increasing appearance, if the yogi is distracted, he will engage in the conceptual thoughts of signs; therefore, one should abide without distraction in the view of the expanse of awareness, thereby overpowering the signs with force. Adorn awareness with wisdom, adorn wisdom with compassion, and compassion benefits sentient beings. ATHA (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning)! Because the three of body, speech, and mind are deeply attached to samsara, it is necessary to distinguish between samsara and nirvana. By doing what one can with the body for a day, one can reverse attachment to the body; its measure is the experience of the body's lack of inherent existence. By making as much sound as possible with speech, one can transform attachment to speech; its measure is the experience of the speech's lack of inherent existence. By thinking as much as possible about the past, future, and present with the mind, one can transform attachment to the mind; its measure is the experience of the mind's lack of inherent existence. Because there is no attachment to the three of body, speech, and mind, knowing that the three of body, speech, and mind in samsara lack inherent existence is transcendence. Having thus distinguished between samsara and nirvana, it is called abiding in the natural state, that is, for a day or even in a day, relax the body, making the body without inherent existence; listen to speech without inherent existence as if one were mute; relax the mind, without distraction, pacifying.

Without attachment! Loosen up and relax! Relaxing the body touches the Nirmanakaya; relaxing the speech touches the Sambhogakaya; relaxing the mind touches the Dharmakaya. Knowing this way, the three kayas are awakened as the path. Then go to a cemetery or a desolate place, to a place without human or dog sounds, and from there, rely on the empowerment mudra that is extremely unelaborate to empower. La! Some with karmic connections may become angry at these mudras! If there is no gathering, liberate yourself and let it enter experience. The instruction is not given all at once, but in segments, combined with the disciple's experience. ATH: Four finger measurement! A fortunate person who transcends the upward limit is blessed. Four fingers from one's own brow. If a person is separated from the bindu of the expanse of awareness, it is likely that they will enter samsara. ATH: This is also part of the daytime nirvana! The expanse of awareness is determined in the manifestation of the senses. Night is part of samsara! The expanse of awareness is not initially determined. If it is not determined in this way, how is night experienced? Night is experienced with a lamp! When the expanse of awareness dawns in the lamp, it guides samsara and nirvana. If you experience without a lamp, then how the light of the expanse and the light of awareness, and the light of the bindu appear during the day, so too at night, experience through focus. Then, through the power of habit, there is no day or night, and the expanse of awareness will brightly appear. When it appears like that, it is called samsara and nirvana being non-dual and equal. ATH: The letters of the lamp of the emptiness of bindu! A ha ṣa r a ā ā ā! (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) At the time of the lamp's birth, reciting this three hundred times during the session will cause it to appear. The letters of the lamp of the completely pure expanse! Ṭa pha ma! (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) When focusing on appearance, if you recite three hundred times beforehand, then speech will perfect power. The letters of self-arisen wisdom! Ṣa hi pha! (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) These, in the dawn of a person, just as the dawn light appears, reciting three hundred times without interruption will cause one to become endowed with wisdom and intelligence. The letters of the far-reaching water lamp! Pu ja hūṃ! (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Reciting these three three hundred times each time the moon is seen, the eyes of that fortunate one will not become dim. The secret of the threshold letters of the four lamps! ATH: At the time of pain, consciousness becomes very confused. At this time, the yogi becomes distracted.
