There is no difference in how it abides; the way appearances are is constantly separated. The manifest awareness of its lord is called thorough penetration, because awareness itself can be experienced. Atha. When combined with one's own essence, the essence is awareness, that is, one's own awareness of oneself, and because it abides in the way it manifests, it arises as body, wisdom, light, and bindus. Because compassion is the agent of manifestation, the dharmadhatu and awareness, objects and faculties, are all self-appearing. Atha. When combined with one's own place of dwelling, the essence is the five peaceful bodies in citta, and the five wrathful bodies abide in the form of father and mother in the skull cup. The nature is that bindus and minute bindus abide in the root-places. Compassion, the five lights, abides clearly. Essence is emptiness, nature is luminosity, compassion is unceasing. Atha. When the eye and the sky are joined, the object and the peg are struck, which is the key to immutability. When the sky and awareness are introduced, the peg is struck into one's own face, which is the key to knowing awareness itself as vipashyana. That itself, without separation, gives rise to the experience of the three kayas self-exhausting. Atha. A person who practices in this way, through the power of habituation, does not need to be shown the key, because the nature of reality is free from elaboration. Atha. No words can reach the top. The abiding of awareness is that it is not defiled by conceptual thoughts about awareness, because it is awareness that is not cut off from anything, so it exists at the beginning of appearances. Atha. Striving for this, it is only the lineage of awareness itself that abides completely. In order to stabilize the dharmadhatu, drive one's own peg into all appearances. In order to stabilize awareness, bring the essence into its natural state. In order to stabilize the view, always focus on the lineage. In order to stabilize knowledge, imprison awareness in the dharmadhatu. In order to stabilize the body, thoroughly practice all postures. In order to stabilize speech, always abide as if dumb. In order to stabilize the mind, always look at the lineage. In order to cut off all delusions of appearances, become accustomed to emptiness. A person who practices in this way is close to the Buddhas. Therefore, become accustomed to this. Atha. When three connected bindus, like a bowl on top of a staff, appear at the tip of the lineage, one gains control over one-third of the nature of reality, which is the key to not being controlled, and the bindus of

When individual deities appear within, awareness strikes the key point of the dharmadhatu. When five deities appear within each bindu, attachment to the three bodies is severed. The key to making the three bodies the path is: awareness is non-conceptual, and half-bodies appear within objects, light, abodes, and bindus. ATHA. When one's own body is invisible and fingers of light appear at times, the imputations of the dharmakaya are cut on the path. When five deities appear in the lamp of the empty bindu, the imputations of the sambhogakaya are cut on the path. When the key points of body, speech, and mind are completely suppressed, the imputations of the nirmanakaya are cut on the path. These are the imputations of the three bodies that are cut. ATHA. The measure of separating the pure and impure of the elements is: external appearances cease and appear as coming. The measure of separating phenomena and dharmata is: when the dharmadhatu is separated from the space between the eyebrows. Separating mind and wisdom is: awareness has no day or night. Separating the alaya and dharmakaya is: the substantial is invisible. Separating intellect and prajna is: various appearances arise. ATHA. When the lamp of the dharmadhatu is separated from the space between the eyebrows, both samsara and nirvana turn their backs. It does not enter into dominion. When the dharmadhatu and awareness itself are without characteristics, it is called non-duality of samsara and nirvana, and samsara itself is liberated into nirvana. ATHA. The manifest appearance of dharmata is: the connection of the eye, space, and awareness. The appearance of increasing experience is: first, it appears one cubit from the space between the eyebrows. It appears like a bean, like a pill. When one experiences this, the bindu becomes five colors, and the appearance of the dharmadhatu appears. When one experiences this, only the appearance of light appears. Awareness reaching its limit is: from then on, those lights also manifest deities and bindus, and from then on, those deities also appear as five. This is the appearance of awareness reaching its limit. The appearance of the exhaustion of dharmata is: there is no establishment in any essence, and when there is no establishment in this way, the attachment of body, speech, and mind is exhausted, and awareness, one's own essence, the great vajra chain abides. Here, the attachment to the three bodies is naturally exhausted, transcending the body.
