Just as from being tormented by the heat of afflictions, the umbrella protects from the suffering of heat, in order to eliminate the suffering of the faults of samsara, this is the fifteenth auspiciousness of the supreme umbrella empowerment. In the past, when the Bhagavan was dwelling in the city of Vaishali, in the multi-storied pavilion by the Monkey Pond, the Brahmin Khampa, struck by previous misdeeds and caught by fishermen, the fishermen remembered their regret and offered large and small fishing nets, and five hundred fishermen became Buddhas. Similarly, through the empowerment of the silk banner with the symbol of the fishing net, even if one is certain to be born in the lower realms, one is liberated from it and becomes a Buddha. The silk banner abandons all afflictions, and completely perfects all good qualities. It purifies the knowledge of ignorance and delusion, and may one be liberated from the disease of afflictions and samsara. In order to purify the faults of samsara, the vastness of suffering is an auspicious substance. The adornment of the banner is the purification of all imprints. This is the sixteenth auspiciousness of empowerment. In the past, when the Bhagavan was dwelling in Jeta Grove, the daughter of the householder, Zangdenma, offered Aparase's amulet, and thus possessed the supreme empowerment of bodily stability. Similarly, through the empowerment of the amulet, the supreme of bodily stability. The immaculate and pure amulet is the supreme of purity. This is the body binding offered by the householder with faith. Since it is extremely auspicious and stable for the body, may one obtain the supreme unchanging and stable body. Whatever is spoken as the supreme liberation, the non-objective pure wisdom dharmakaya, the body support free from the stains of afflictions, this is the seventeenth auspiciousness of the amulet empowerment. In the past, when the Bhagavan was dwelling on Mount Kailash, the yakshas offered five kinds of incense, namely sandalwood, camphor, saffron, agarwood, and dhuruka. By offering these, the senses were satisfied and auspicious. Similarly, through the empowerment of the five kinds of incense, the senses are satisfied and auspicious. This is the supreme incense offering that satisfies the senses, offering to the Sugatas of the three times, all beings, all senses.

In the past, when the Bhagavan went to the Sengdeng forest, the lion, king of beasts, offered the lion knife, making it the supreme medicine. Likewise, may auspiciousness prevail through the empowerment of the Sengdeng thorn, making it the supreme medicine. The lion knife is the supreme medicine, offered by the ferocious lion. Homage to the Bhagavan, the Great Compassionate One. Understanding all the ignorance of animals. May this supreme medicine liberate beings from all diseases. Majestic, skilled in movement, with a proud demeanor and miraculous powers, walking proudly, the king of animals. When it roars, it overwhelms all ferocious beasts. This is the twenty-third auspiciousness of the well-tamed empowerment. In the past, when the Bhagavan resided in the great valley of Ritang, the Naga king Jopa offered Brihati, making it the supreme medicine. Likewise, may auspiciousness prevail through the empowerment of white Acorus calamus, making it the supreme medicine. Acorus calamus is the supreme medicine, offered by the Nagas. Homage to the Bhagavan, the Great Compassionate One. Understanding all the ignorance of the Nagas. May this medicine thoroughly eliminate all diseases. Possessing intelligence, a Bodhisattva, fulfilling the wishes of beings, with a precious jewel on its head. Benefiting beings through skillful means, the Nagas with great power.
