The reality of the nature of phenomena, is illustrated by four similarities. Because there is no entity, there is no object of focus. It is unborn, beyond thought, and immutable.

Since there is no metaphor, it transcends metaphors. For the sake of understanding, it is temporarily shown. The essence of the meaning transcends expression. Thus it was said. This is the thirty-eighth chapter on showing all dharmas through metaphors. Then Vajrasattva asked Samantabhadra again: "What is the introduction to the arrow of Dharmakaya?" After being asked, the teacher Samantabhadra, with the confidence of inseparability like mother and child, entered into samadhi. Having arisen from that, he bestowed the teaching: "When the nature of the mother essence is agitated, the limb-son enters the realm of non-realization. Therefore, the symbolic introduction of Dharmakaya is shown. Vajrasattva, respectfully hold it in your mind." The unchanging introduction has three aspects: the unchanging introduction of abiding reality, the uncertain introduction of appearance, and the non-dual introduction. First, the introduction to abiding reality: Since it is free from causes and conditions, arising and ceasing, the essence is without change, and the nature is without any object of focus. In the precious, radiant palace, the formless, all-pervading, single body abides. Its name is unborn, beyond expression. It is called the radiant, all-appearing, self-mind. Introducing that to oneself, dissolving into the expanse of Dharmakaya, obtain certainty through immutability. Showing the meaning of uncertain appearance: At the very moment of whatever appears, in the mirror of the clear light of Dharmadhatu, the original state is clear and undifferentiated. The self-born, self-liberated, single body abides. Its name is the radiant, non-dual, self-liberated. Introducing that to oneself, outer and inner, object and mind, are not to be grasped. Self-awakened, self-luminous, non-dual. Obtain certainty through immeasurable, non-discrimination. The non-duality of abiding reality and appearance: In the jewel without gathering or scattering, in the house of great clear light, the single body without increase or decrease abides. Its name is free from grasping, free from elaboration, free from cutting off. Introducing that to oneself, object and mind are non-dual, appearance and emptiness are not different. Inner and outer are non-dual, without acceptance or rejection. The objects of the five senses are without attachment. Self and other are non-dual, without partiality. Appearance and mind are non-dual, without partiality. Appearance and mind are non-dual, without grasping or being grasped. Mind, intellect, and consciousness are without change. It is not non-existent, empty and appearing. It is not existent, appearing and empty. It is not both, without differentiation. It is not one, transcending metaphor and expression. Self-born, self-liberated, free from grasping and attachment.
