of meaning. Great wisdom is difficult to obtain, which is to say that the Dharma-nature of the Buddha is extremely profound, subtle, and difficult to understand, because it exists in the illusion that is difficult to obtain, so manifest attainment is extremely difficult. Accomplishment is achieved by relying on wisdom and means, which is to say that wisdom is what arises as the nature of Dharma-nature from the inconceivable emptiness. From that, combining with the perfect enjoyment of Samantabhadra is the means. In equality, abiding in the happiness of many selves, abiding in the three times is accomplished. Therefore, through illusory conduct, merely abiding in name in that, and also through union, the wisdom of self-nature is great bliss, because it arises from one's own awareness. Although merely the name seems to depend on others, manifest happiness arises from oneself. This is what is said. The third chapter. Now, the chapter on being free from searching is explained, showing the meaning of becoming oneself through the obscuration of effort. Great miracles are not difficult, which is to say that abiding unshakably in what is as it is, is miracles. All qualities and powers, which is to say that qualities are the greatness of the Buddhas, unmixed with power, and also the objects of focus of Dharani, liberation, and those also known by the name of illusion, are obscurations. Relying on inconceivable wisdom, the lamp of one's own wisdom arises, and likewise, through the power of realization, purifying the illusory world, and manifesting in an illusory way, and the way of pacifying those that appear as happiness and suffering, therefore, from the subtlety of realizing what is as it is, immediately arises from oneself. This is what is said. Subtlety is not the object of focus, but the nature of space. The Dharma-nature without appearance is, meditating by not searching and abiding. This is to say that Dharma-nature, because it is not spoken from the front, therefore there is no self-nature of cause and self-nature of condition. If there is no appearance, then striving to act on the unconditioned dharmas is to be immersed in the endless ocean of great suffering, which is very difficult. Therefore, abiding in the Dharma as it is, abiding with the adornment of equality, and abiding without degeneration in the play of Samantabhadra is great meditation. There, there are various

If diligently practiced, such a result will not arise from it. This is to say that it is the very nature of Suchness. To practice diligently there is like building a house in the sky. Because of being upside down and confused, it is said that such a result will not arise from it. The Fourth Chapter. Now, the chapter on being free from expression will be explained, because the nature of Bodhicitta is inexpressible, so it shows the meaning of being free from all terms. This most secret Dharma is without self-nature because it does not fixate on anything. Because it is free from all characteristics, there is no object to be fixated on. Because it is inexpressible, it is not accessible to ordinary people, and it is a great secret. Similarly, it is also free from all the meanings of words, abiding in the Dharma nature, becoming like the boundary of the sky, therefore, neither I nor he can be established. Because there is no cause to be referred to, and no power of hearing arises, it will not be heard from other ears. Similarly, the tongue is also like that, there is not even a speck of speech there. That's how it is said. The Fifth Chapter. Now, the chapter on beings not being controlled by karma will be explained, showing the meaning of the nature of Bodhicitta not being controlled by others. The suffering of beings is Bodhicitta, because it is fully realized, it is enjoyed. What is said is that the cause of all beings is the nature of Bodhicitta. Because it is defiled, it is also suffering. There, also, it is fully realized with happiness, and it plays and enjoys with suffering, abiding like playing in Samsara, fully realizing the nature of all Dharmas and enjoying it. There, also, because it receives the happiness of non-self and abiding unmovingly in equality, although there is no movement there, it is equal to the edge of the sky. That's how it is said. In any difference, they are the same, and it is said that this is karma. What is said is that the word karma is an empty name for upside-down and confused views, and that does not exist. Beings abide equally in the pure land of Bodhi with the happiness of Samantabhadra, and are not controlled by karma. Why is that? Because it is independent. If the power of karma is strong, like a vajra, then karma is first, and beings die later, and beings are controlled by karma and transmigrate, and liberation becomes difficult.
